IMHO DT still has gas in the tank. It may have already been mentioned, but DT's best years were with Gase as OC, so he's got some good karma there. We Pats fans were sad to see him go, but there's too much of a logjam at the position now. And as far as Belichick trading within the division... once upon a time, he traded his erstwhile starting QB within the division. I hope DT tears it up for you! (well, except for two games )
based on what? robby 50rec, 752yds, 6TDs, 14 games crowder 29rec, 388yds, 2 TDs 9 games DT 59rec, 677yds, 5 TDs 15 games so DT to robby, robby played 1 less game but had more yards and TDs on less catches DT to crowder is a bit rough since crowder played only 9 games but their YPG were only 2 different, the CPG was less then 1 different and crowder had nobody throwing to him. it was so bad the skins signed a guy off their couch to play QB after losing smith and mccoy and sanchez being sanchez. DT had the best QB play as well with 7 games with watson throwing to him and hopkins on the other side drawing double and triple teams. and in those 7 games only 275 yards. Do you not check this stuff before making a comment? it's readily available.
Bizarre and out of left field. But a great trade for us. New England doesn't need him with their WR depth but kind of weird that they couldn't dump him out west somewhere out of the division? Out of the conference? He caught 59 passes in 15 games last year. Still looked very much like a player in the preseason. Patriots aren't worried about us or the rest of the division one bit. But it is kind of strange. It definitely upgrades our wide receiver corps and will significantly alter the way teams will play us especially once Chris Herndon returns.
So now AB is named in a lawsuit alleging rape and sexual assault. Hope we signed the dotted line on that DT trade already...
Very interesting... not so much in who we got but the fact that they were willing to trade him to us. It definitely shows you exactly how much they consider us to be competition. A little sad really.
DT was good enough for NE's #3 WR going into the season, so there's that...there's also this famous pass!
DT is our new Q. We're all just waiting for Q to go down with another season ending injury....well, JoeD isn't waiting. We now have Q's replacement on the 53.
Maybe the pats will want him back lol....seeing as he's getting some bad attention.... Lawsuit Accuses Antonio Brown of Rape The Patriots receiver is accused of three incidents of sexual assault, in 2017 and 2018, against a woman who attended college with him.
"Thomas will be new to New York, but he is familiar with Gase. He served as the Denver Broncos' wide receivers coach from 2010 to 2013 and then as the team's offensive coordinator from 2013 to '14. Thomas spent the first nine years of his career in Denver." ~ ESPN
Next week: Last play of the game, Jets down 38-34: "Darnold takes the snap, fires down the sideline.........caught by Demaryius Thomas!!! Touchdown New York Jets! Jets win 40-38!!!! Gillette Stadium is silent......."
The details from the lawsuit against Brown are pretty horrific. The NYT article linked states that the Pats claim this is the first they're hearing of this. I'm kind of shocked that they didn't do any due diligence here...confident enough in Brown to trade one of their WRs to the Jets of all teams.
"But wait, the challenge flag is coming out! They're reviewing the play for offensive pass interference...and the ruling on the field is overturned! No touchdown!!!"
