Belli would never trade the Jets anything good so nobody should be feinting..jus maybe we luck out and he is better than servicable

Dont resort to semantic fallacies, what he meant is obvious. Your argument was that Belichick couldn’t get the worst end of the deal. Thomas has to do very little to be worth more than a 2021 6th rounder, hence the figurative, not literal claim, we didn’t give up anything to get him to dispute the claim Belichick wouldn’t trade him for a 6th round pick unless he was getting the better end of the deal.

they needed to make room for AB. they have gordon and AB outside and edelmen in the slot. DT would be their WR4 and doesn't play special teams. not ideal. he was also on a 1 year deal and they needed cap room for AB and a 6th rounder 2 years from now is better then nothing. he was expendable and not much gas in the tank. for us he'll likely be a WR4 as well. but could push enunwa for the WR2 job. Enunwa looked bad and I think we will move on from him either after this season or during this season so we can make room to sign robby

Hopefully this trade works out better than the last one we made with the P*ts.:mad::mad:

Nope. They already had room. They just wanted to get any dead money off the books for when Gronk comes back. ;)

Sadly Thomas is the best WR on our roster right now. Hard to hate this trade even if it shows how little the Pats respect us as a division rival.

Eh, I'd argue he's probably still the best. Q might have lost it after being out a year and Anderson is still a deep threat at best until he proves otherwise.

I'm just taking a wild guess here and say that this trade was meant to distract everyone from how Antonio Brown suspiciously wound up in New England.

We gave up a 6th rounder folks. We can't even draft decent 2nd rounders. We took a flyer on a vet past his prime. I got no problem with that. Also, fuck Belli. He is master of cheating, not master of personnel. He had questionable dealings in the past. Not everything he does is genius.

It's a good pick up... Remember our Coach knows all about DT. Probably more than belicheck does

They can disagree all they want. This guy has an actual NFL resume as a WR.

  14. Hes now the only true “x” receiver on the roster.

Hate trading w satan himself..would rather save those picks to draft a WR for the future.

Gase is realizing how poor this roster is in key spots & that expectations are not wavering given that he was not a popular hire& jet fans are tired of waiting for results. He may have this year only & is staring at 3-13.

The OL will improve as willl the kicking. But once the heavy lifting was done this offseason, who took MAC aside & asked how he planned for this team to get off the field on 3rd down/2 minute w zero edge rush & not a single reliable corner?? The answer is,its not happening.

Thank you for your ten minutes of work and for "released after punching Geno Smith." Imagine that being the NFL career you describe to your grandchildren.

Shepard is suspended, I'd assume DT is taking that spot.

It's a 6th round pick to take a flyer on the guy. The book on him is that he's not a good route runner and drops too many balls. Turns out his catch rate (61%) is better than either Robbie (54%) or Q (54%). Crowder's catch rate is 67%. Maybe crazy eyes does know something.

Decent depth move and RZ target, and we needed both so it's worth the flyer.
I wouldn't expect much more than that though.
Maybe 5th or 6th targeted receiver (including RB's and TE's) when all is said and done.
