    Studs

Mosely - earned every bit of that contract before getting hurt. Pick 6, forced fumble, couple of nice pas deflections including one deep down the middle on john brown in the end zone. Led a defense that allowed 0 points and scored 8 itself in 3 quarters. He looked phenomenal out there

Bell - looks like he didn't miss a beat. always making somehting out of nothing. scored the lone jets TD, as well as a nice play on the 2pt conversion, plus on that 4th down i thought he was stopped short but he somehow pulled out of it and got a 1st down.

Crowder - was mr 3rd down slot guy all game. several nice catches for 1st downs on 3rd down. finished with 14 catches for 99 yards on 17 targets

Hewitt - Looked really good replacing williamson out there. also had an INT late in the game

Poole - played really well as the slot corner. also had a safety in run support on a nice play.

Maye - had 1 INT called back on an off ball BS penalty and had another one he dropped later on in the game. looked really good in coverage jumping routes. Should have had a 2 INT game

Defense as a Whole - especially the front 7. Anytime your defense can score a TD and a safety and hold the other team to 17 points and create 4 turnovers you should win. We were all worried about the defense but the defense played amazing. the offense cost us this game

Greg Williams - great defensive game overall

Lac Edwards - probably deserves the game ball. pinned buffalo deep which led to the safety. Had 7 punts. dropped 5 inside the 20 and had a long of 54 yards

Jenkins - had a sack and FF early in the game. the jets lone sack

    Duds

Enunwa - targeted 3 times, had 1 catch for -4 yards and lost a fumble. Might be time to move on from him to be able to resign anderson. even bellamy looked better then Q

Vedvik - missed his only 2 attempts 1 short FG and 1 XP costing us 4 points in a game we lost by 1

O-line - as a whole was just bad. Sam was running for his life all game and had no time to make throws. also no holes in the run game opened up either

Roberts - too many costly penalties and too many times burned in the pas game. we knew he would be a liability going into the season so hard to complain

Injury Bug - mosely got knocked out which changed the whole defense. Q williams got injured in the 3rd quarter.

4th quarter jets - as usual. same old jets. went into the 4th quarter up 16-3 and allowed a 14-0 quarter that made us lose 17-16.

Gase - for the offense minded head coach, what we got was the same old dink and dunk 3 and out offense form past years and only scored 1 TD on offense all game and had 1 FG attempt

Great analysis. For me, yesterday's stud was Bills Defense in its entirety. They pulled a team that turned the ball over 4 teams and brought the W to their team.

    Dud...

Jets offensive line not playing in the preseason. Need time to play together and Kalil will be rusty. Offense should open up when Darnold has more time and a clean pocket.

    Kicker...obviously

Everything else is an overreaction for the first week.

I think Gregg Williams did a terrible job of adjusting when Montgomery came in and smoked us the entire 2nd half.

Yeah, fuckin Gregg Williams and his no plan for Montgomery!

I guess he switched uniforms mid-game and started playing for the Bills? Could explain why he didn't prepare properly for him!

Who would have thought he would have switched teams mid-game!?!

    Same ol' Jets

there was some analytics guy on the radio that said they calculated all the games where a team had 4 turnovers, 1 of them a touchdown return over the years. And 98% of those teams lost. Buffalo was in the 2%

After watching that atrocious shit show again, that offensive line play was just terrible. Almost every single snap was left with an unclean pocket and little to no time for Darnold to throw. Kalil looked really bad, he was getting blown up all game and needed so much help throughout the entire thing. Just awful.

Yup and Kalil seemed to make that point himself today:

Kalil was horrendous. He was absolutely manhandled all game. I have to wonder if he can't play anymore. Its been a long time since I've watched an offensive lineman get pushed back so much like that

He'll develop confidence as he gains experience. Give him a couple years to learn the position.

I stated here I had confidence in Kalil's "comeback".

He only retired 9 months ago, but he did not look good.
We all know how a good center can be key to line play...both with his calls & with his play.

I still think he'll get his shit together sooner than later....lord knows we need it.

yup, how many times did we see a free unblocked rusher from the bills even without a blitz? at least like 4-5 on my count. completly unacceptable. 1 is understandable a game but it was way too often this game

Peeps ripping Gase and Darnold for the dink and dunk. I mean I'm not saying they're blameless, but it's like fans can watch football their whole lives and never understand the correlation between pass protection and a productive offense. "Take some shots downfield!!!"

How? With a time machine and a catapult?

offense was poor - surprised Bell got any rushing yards given the complete absence of any help from the O-Line which was awful throughout the game

defense was OK until Mosley went out but I would say that was mainly down to how bad Josh Allen played - as ever they went missing in the 4th quarter - they seemed to go to prevent defense when we were 16-0 and just fell apart starting with that mind numbing roughing the passer call when they were about to turn over on downs

any half decent team is going to destroy this defense in the air

An interesting irony is that next week's Giants game will probably say a lot about the Jets going forward. They're playing Buffalo, and if they move up and down the field against them that pretty much kills any notion that the Jets offensive problems were anything but their own doing. If the Giants do well against the Bills and the Jets do poorly against the Browns it will be easy to predict a ceiling of 3 or 4 wins for this team.

the NFL changes week to week but the giants couldn't put point up against a average dallas D and got shredded by an average dallas offense. Still any given sunday. the titans racked up 43 points against the browns

also FWIW all the baker lovers out there, he looked awful against tennesee in the opener and threw 3 INTs (1 a pick 6) and looked scared and confused out there. IIRC he also had a fumble as well? and that's with ODB, landry, njoku, chubb, for his skill positions. His o-line though got dominated by the Tenn d-line which is all the difference. sam couldn't do much with a bad o-line but at least he didn't kill the team with turnovers.

    Dud,

AG for a poor to bad game plan and disgusting calls which were tantamount to dialing into u-tube and watching Miami form last year. What is more troubling is his comments he made see other post which seem a lot like Miami . he came across as a arrogant twit and like in Miami, he thinks he is the smartest guy in the room. memo to AG, GW kicked your ass and has his unit prepared without the BS....

Frankly, this game solidified my concerns regarding this guys capabilities and if the lose next week the same way, the chants will start with me to fire the bum... because they will be 0-6 shortly.
