Well if anyone thought that Florida was out of the woods think again! Much of the guidance has now shifted this from well over the ocean to very close to the coast if not onto land in Florida. We WILL NOT get an answer tonight its just too soon to tell. The storm IMO is moving faster West then the models depicted earlier which is a BAD thing as the ridge to the North of Dorian that is steering the storm is not breaking down or weakening so by the storm traveling faster it moves farther west towards Florida. Eventually that ridge to the North will weaken and allow Dorian to make the turn North but WHEN ????? That is the key question???????? Anyone who cares to chime in feel free but this is far from a done deal and I hope that people in Florida did not let their guard down due to earlier reports today. The trends are NOT our friends,,,,,,,,many of the models and guidance has shifted far enough WEST to have me very concerned, we really want Dorian to be much more East or North and East than depicted by the models. Keep in mind that last night they were flying planes into Dorian and they were gathering Data and they dropped probes ( Drop Sondes) which also gather data and I believe that could be why the guidance has changed since yesterdays more promising looks. Still time for this to go many ways and change but this storm as depicted on the models as of now is far too close for comfort for too many people. It also appears that the Bahamas are going to get obliterated. Thoughts ?
A little wobble to the west. Close to the Florida coast but they will get spared the worst of it. If it stalls like some of the models suggest even better.
Dorian currently;y has 175 mph winds gusting to 200 mph prayer for the Bahamas and Freeport ----Floridians take notice and prepare NOW better safe than sorry its getting late in the game-----I have been all over this storm
FJAY your lips to gods ears,,,,,currently moving at 8mph slightly faster than was advertised and here is the kicker the storm is GETTING BIGGER and not weakening but intensifying
FYI this is still heading DUE West,,not good and not a hint of turning yet . if I lived on the east coast of Florida especially along the water I would be getting out of dodge right about now while I can.Abaco Islands getting destroyed and the storm surges are now expected to be between 17 and 20 plus feet

Yep Stat storm has slowed down to 5mph but it is now moving west my bad still moving west not going south at all edit there,,,,,I am watching this thing is simply amazing as winds were gusting earlier to 200mph and I saw data that said winds just above the surface were hitting 230 mph. Strong damn storm
A stall is the best thing that can happen for Florida.lets the steering high clear out and Dorian will make the turn north.
Just waiting on the turn, they already decided not to open the shelters in my county. Hope closing the shelters wasn't to the storm what a red cape is to a bull.
Dorian still crawling at 1 mph hopefully the west move STOPS and it turns North soon. Guidance says that it will but I will be happy if and when it does turn North then we can focus on other places that could be in its path be safe everyone
