Forget about Gostowski, at 35 he is way too young. NYJ should make a deal for ex-Brady teammate, K Adam Vinatieri, who at 46 years of age, will complement Brady very well. Throw in a bonus of matching rocking chairs for the two, just for showing up, and we'll be good to go for the season.
I’m referring to this year only. I know Myers was great for us last season but if you’re going to let him go then you have to have a backup plan. Clearly the Jets thought they could just bring back Myers competition from last year and all would be fine.

I’d imagine guys as old as 45 can still hit kicks from 50+. It’s less about strength and more about how they swing their leg.
Parkey was 23 out of 30 on FG's last year. 42 out of 45 on extra points. And of course the EPIC FAIL double doink to eliminate the Bears from the playoffs. All of that sounds much better than Taylor Bertolet at least. Parkey also kicked for Gase in Miami in 2017, going 21 out of 23. Pretty good.
It would be hysterically funny if Parkey got a job somewhere and ended up having a better year than whatever clown the Bears end up using, further establishing that no one knows anything about kickers.
