Personally, I think Tunsil is overrated. He struggled with run bocking and is a headcase. I think that's why they are shopping him.

Can’t figure you out, 1st overall pick pass rusher puts up 20 sacks in 1st 4 years and you can’t wait to pay him.
6th overall pick interior line guy has 17 sacks in first 4 years and you think he’s a disappointment.

jets fans tend to underrate their own players and overrate everyone else's. which is opposite of most fans.

Clowney is a 3 time pro bowler and a playmaker. It’s not hard to figure out. Watch him play the game of football. You don’t have to find “hidden production”

Interesting. Leo leads in tackles ,qb hits, tied in ff and is only 12 sacks behind despite clowney having more games played .And this is the number one overall pick, pass rushing phenomenon we’re taking about, playing along side a h.o.f.’er
    Pro bowl = popularity contest.
If clowney was here pulling this hold out he would be persona non grata.

Uh huh... well if you’ve never watched Clowney play I can understand how you would think Leonard Williams is better I guess. It’s silly though

I’d trade Leonard Williams for Clowney in a second but the cool thing is that we might not even have to do that, Douglas could make a deal to have them play together

I’ve seen enough of clowney to know clowney as a de is about the same as Leo as a Dt
And I’ve seen enough on this board to know he would received here about the same.

I don’t believe you. Otherwise, why you would cherry pick stats from the year he was injured the whole season? It doesn’t make any sense. If you watched him play you would know that’s dumb.

I suspect Clowney won’t be a Jet anyway, so we can hate on him and cheer for hidden production again. It’s cool

It would be most ironic if they couldn't because of what they were paying Mosley, Bell, and Clowney.

My last stat comp was career. I don’t hate clowney, I would have been ok with Mac going after him if he had hit the market. Now it’s a bit more complicated but if it happens I won’t cry. Hate to give up a 1st for him. I do think he has been buoyed by his reputation coming out of school and has not lived up to a number one over all pick.
Mainly though I am really just amazed how you are so infatuated by him when you kill the same type of player here when you factor in position and draft status. The logic is baffling me

Clowney still living off that college highlight where he blew up that running back.

    Overrated pass rusher.

Perhaps Gregg Williams sees Clowney as his monster pass rusher with the Jets? His Jets Jevon Kearse/Myles Garrett?

To give up what it would take to get him then pay him what it'll cost to re-sign him brings up the questions

WHY is this move necessary when they're already paying Leonard Williams $14.2 million in 2019? WHY make this move with Jamal Adams & Robby Anderson's contract extension looming on the horizon?

IF Clowney comes here and becomes that guy in Gregg Williams' defense a 15-20 sacks per year monster the Jets will look good BUT Clowney hasn't been that type of player in the pros.
