Exactly. The Mets play all the teams in their way moving forward. They control their own fate. Sweeping the Indians, made getting swept by the Braves breaking even.

Pete has set the new Mets single-season HR record. Congrats!

Alonso unsurprisingly sets the Mets home run record. More surprisingly, it's on a ball over the rightfield fence. He becomes the first rookie in 81 years to set his team's home run record.

Ramos extends his hitting streak to 20 games, the longest in the majors this year.

Stroman has really been a disappointment.

I hadn't seen Stroman pitch a lot and I have to say so far very unimpressed.

Mets need to salvage this series. I'd call the next 2 games "must wins" in order to keep hopes of wild card alive. Noah and deGrom, the offense needs to wake the fuck up.

And please get Lagares back in there. I'm not a fan of Conforto in CF and Frazier sucks at the plate.

Damn, the offense finally woke up but Noah imploded.. Mets will have to pull off a miracle to win this one.

This team performance when Jacob pitches is shameful!

Yep it's done. I just hope BVW notices that they need to fix the BP as top priority and if Cespedes can't return they need another good hitter in the lineup. Preferably get rid of Frazier.

These sports pundits seems to always want teams in a perpetual rebuild. Where were these comments a week ago?

This is just sheer stupidity. There is a good core here worth building around, not tearing down. But Buster Olney isn’t capable of creating rational “news” that would generate attention for him so all he is left with is grabbing negative attention like a 4 year old that isn’t getting enough of her dad’s attention.
