argument made and agree. Problem is the rest of the team isn't top 6. especially the OL. Darnold is going to take some shots this year.

understand your optimism but the 20 or so minutes i saw was the saints in total control. realize its preseason but still you see the yuge gap between 12-4 and 7-9 (at best)

AFC QBs I see better than Darnold this year:
    - Brady
    - Mahomes
    - Rivers
    - Ben
    - Watson

Darnold vs Mayfield is the argument for #6, but I’m clearly taking him over Carr, Flacco, Dalton, Jackson, Mariota, Foles, Brissett, Allen and Dolphins

AFC rosters (excluding QB) I see better than Jets this year:
    - Pats
    - Chargers
    - Ravens
    - Jags
    - Chiefs
    - Browns
    - Colts
    - Bills
    - Steelers

That puts us at QB #6 and roster #10. That’s a scenario that should be contending for the playoffs, especially with a last place schedule.

Notably, every roster I named from the AFC has gaping holes other than NE and LAC. Everyone likes to point out our flaws and act like other teams are complete, but think about how concerned about these things we’d be if we were fans of their team.

    - Ravens, Bills, Jags: elite defenses, but the offensive personnel is nonexistent and BUF/JAX have OL problems
    - Chiefs: league’s most explosive offense but the defense was hot garbage
    - Browns: their OL is worse than ours
    - Colts: well, um, I have some bad news

We’re a competitive team in this conference.

BC ,IMO the Broncos, Texans ,Titans and even the Bengals could be in the argument and all could have better rosters than us, again thats just my opinion but we will know how things are shaking out once the games get real. Again in my opinion this team just has too many glaring holes and I think we are ALL in for a long year, time willl tell but I hope I am wrong about the team and the Head Coach.

Man I’m so excited for Robby this year, I think Gase is going to let him do more than 9 routes. He’s so fast that he can make any route look like a 9 and just cut it to something else. I said I think we’re going to be 8-8, main reason is because we don’t have Bowles and Bates anymore

I can see the Broncos, but the Texans roster low key kinda stinks. They have the worst OL in the NFL and not much to speak of on D other than stars in Watt and Clowney (who is rumored to be getting traded).

Watson, Hopkins and Watt is an impressive group of stars, but the rest of their roster is honestly pretty bad.

We play the Bengals this year, so we should sign him to #ProtectSam.

Oh and also the Bengals suck. Didn’t even see you threw them in there. But no.

No doubt about it the Jets should be a competitive team in the AFC.

Here is how I would rank the AFC QB's at the moment:
    1. Patrick Mahomes
    2. Ben Roethlisberger
    3. Philip Rivers
    4. Sam Darnold
    5. Tom Brady
    6. Deshaun Watson
    7. Baker Mayfield
    8. Derek Carr
    9. Nick Foles
    10. Joe Flacco
    11. Marcus Mariota
    12. Josh Allen
    13. Lamar Jackson
    14. Andy Dalton
    15. Jacoby Brissett
    16. Ryan Fitzpatrick
(If Rosen starts, I would bump him up to 12 probably)

I think there is a large drop from 9 to 10. We will see how they play and the teams that are put around them though.

You think Darnold will out sling Brady this season?

    I could see it happening.

whats funny is Bengal fans and Texan fans look at the schedule and say The Jets Kinda suck,,,,,,,we will know in a few weeks but the Texans O line sucked last year also and IF Watson a year removed from his injury only gets better and Fuller stays healthy along with Keke and Miller running the ball I think they are Better than us on Offense and quite frankly I still think our O line aint very good never mind deep and with our secondary well time will tell how all these teams REALLY are as it gets real in 2 weeks

As much as I hate to say this, I have no choice. Brady is no worse than 2nd until he proves otherwise. Sam hasn't earned the 4th spot either. Maybe in the future, but not now.

Yeah, just how I would currently rank QB's, based on pure talent, not the talent on their teams or coaches. Rivers and Ben were toss up's over Sam, but I think they still have enough in the tank for 2019. And yeah, maybe I put Sam ahead of Brady on purpose. Who knows? ;) The real complaint should be Mariota at #11. I already disagree with my own ranking! :D

I'd rather let him give Tammy Br*dy a little Mo Lewis treatment.

Duke Johnson now the lead back, not much debt after him. Bet they regret releasing Foreman now..

What about Wesco? Did he even play last night? I was hoping he would fill in for Herndon, but I am not even sure where he is on the TE depth chart. Maybe we expected too much from a 4th Round TE?

Watson is really fucking good. Not sure Houston’s line will continue to let him show it, but I think he’ll be better than Sam this year at least.

Sam over Brady looks weird but at this stage of their careers maybe. The Pats O will definitely still be much better because of that power run game though.

Brady doesn't sling it anymore, he checks it down or throws a 10 yard pass his receivers house because they're wide open because of an amazing scheme that Brady has thrived in for 20 years. Basically, Brady is a system QB.
