Our games against the pats are typically close even when we have shitty teams. I don’t think they are that good this year, but they certainly never beat themselves. Have to take at least one from them this season. Agreed about the 3-3 mark. That would be pretty good with the tough schedule start.
No shot we win in NE. It just doesn’t happen. I think we have a decent chance in the home game though, especially being in prime time so it’ll have some extra juice from the home crowd.
Every year you have those games that are going to be toss ups on the schedule that will determine playoffs or no playoffs--opponents that will keep it close and will be must wins. I see those pivotal games this year as: Browns at home, Raiders at home, Jets at Baltimore. Because of talent level and where the teams are at--I feel they will be close and they will determine if we are playoff bound or not. We need to be 2-1 out of these ones.
I have the Bills at max 7 wins this year. Regardless, Division games are always important but I think there is a good chance the Jets and Browns end up with the same record. Gotta have the tiebreaker over them
Think the Raiders will be in that grouping as well....if they stay healthy they have some really strong pieces in place. Even with the drama...
Toughest division in football no? Raiders have talent no doubt about it, but man Chargers, Chiefs and maybe the Broncos. Will Carr get back to his MVP form a few years ago also is a big question.
I think it's probably the most competitive division across the board-- The Chiefs, Broncos and Chargers all have ferocious pass rush....which is key in this league. All four QB's are very solid....Mahomes is the best in the league. This is why I am making the case that the Raiders/Chargers are probably direct competition for us for wild card. I think winning the division might actually be more doable statistically speaking.
Ah yes good point, agreed. I am already coming to terms that 1 of those teams will lock up a WC spot. Though Chargers, no Derwin James for most of the year, no Melvin Gordon as well. They might not make it.
Unless your playing week 1 theres a decent enough chance you won’t be seeing wentz. . i think the afc west might beat each other up and knock at least one of them out of playoff contention.
I think so too, and my early bet is the Chargers. Once defenses find out they can't replace Melvin, those pass-rushers will tee up on Rivers. Sincerely, A butthurt Melvin Gordon owner.
