Read an article on Forbes sports money regarding a new proposal about expanding the regular season. " NFL players and owners are open to cutting the preseason short in order to expand the playoffs. The proposed changes would expand the playoff field from 12 teams to 14 teams" and eliminate one preseason game. Now that might work .
See, Gase can learn from his past mistakes. Never give a 5th for a player you can acquire for free.... Disclaimer: I'm aware Douglas made the move. It's a joke.... Please start the regular season damnit.
So we would really have to suck a little more to miss the playoffs? I think we’re up to the task. They should go to 17 games and add the 14 team playoffs and drop 2 preseason games.
If he isn’t off the pup before the season starts he has to stay in for 6 weeks. After that he has to be ir’ed, waived or placed on the 53. My guess is he is being redshirted this year.
He can be activated as soon as medically cleared, if not ready he can move to the reserve PUP or That's per SportTrac as of today. He was on the NFI. Either way, he can return as soon as medically cleared. If not cleared by the start of the season he can be activated after 6 weeks. Probably will not play this season unless we suffer more injuries.
Of course we WILL suffer more injuries, so there's a chance. I hope he becomes a player for us, I really do. I fully expected him to follow the RU defensive back trail to Foxboro so I was happy when Mccagnan took him before that happened. I am still worried it will happen eventually.
I see the Jets roster still lists him Active NFI. He was placed there after the DRs cleared him so it doesn't look like he's going to see the field. Unless the website hasn't been updated. The Pats and Eagles love them some Rutgers guys. When they played in the Superbowl there were more Rutger players than any other school.
I know a team that needs a kicker Carli Lloyd drills 55-yard FG at Eagles practice https://es.pn/33Mszaa via @ESPN App http://espn.com/app
No this is actually good. If people around the league are noticing or holding this opinion then it is more likely the Jets are on the right track at least. It’s amazing what finally having a franchise QB ( hopefully ) can do. The Jets are still an off season - maybe two - away from competing for the championship but things are definitely looking up .
