I've been mildly irritated by the way this adequate special teamer and "captain" has been speaking up in the press. I know he 's a Jet, and he's Mangini's transfer student, but, I don't need to hear anymore from him until he really does something extraordinary, like break into the starting lineup.

(I guess I can still smell the baked beans and lawbsta on him.)

Today's quote pushed me over the edge:

"Things change quickly. In a span of one game, the Jets jeopardized their status as a feel-good story. Linebacker Matt Chatham couldn't help but laugh at the fickle nature of the business.

"You have to be slightly entertained by it," he said. "You have to remove yourself from the process. At the end of the day, we're the peons and the worker bees. We have to do our job, regardless of what people think about us."

Matt, not entertained by anything that happened Sunday, or your idiotic quotes. Don't call us, we'll call you.

I was thinking the same thing. They intverview this guy like he's our best player. He definitely has more quotes in the papers than guys like Chad, Coles, Vilma, etc. Who really cares about the opinion of a special teamer. I don't get why the press interviews him.

Because he actually speaks out and says what's on his mind. Not that I like what he says at times, but reporters have to love the fact that he says whatever he thinks and doesn't stay quiet or be politically correct.

dude, youre right. I dont know if that was a direct attack on me, but if it was, it was a good one my man. I have called coles a malcontent quite often. I'll tell ya what though, I owuldnt mind Vilma grabbing a reporter and saying "hey quote this, I have sucked ass all year"
