he wants out of Jacksonville. It will cost a number 1. He’s 24 and a great corner would you give up a number 1 and sign him to long term deal? I’d do it! Hate to give up a 1, but there is no guarantee you get a great player in first round anyways. He would be the number 1 corner we could move Johnson to 2. What you guys think?
No way. I wouldn’t give up a 1 and then pay him more than we gave TruJ. I’d rather give up a 2 for Slay who is much less of a nutcase than Jalen is.
fascinating. Quick answer - yes. Secondary answer - depends on attitude, health, and whether we get him long term. I'd want to understand if he's a great person in a bad system or a malcontent. That said, A true #1 CB who's proven against NFL competition is worth it. Trumaine at #2 is pretty dang scary next to Adams, Maye with our front 7.
Great player..... but imagine if Revis just wasnt self centered but also a loudmouth idiot... pretty much what your getting
The old me would say no way !! But If we are 8-8 like predicted, I think a proven young talent at CB is worth the 16th overall give or take Yes you pay him but so what Sam is on the cheap for now Although not liking Jalens overall bad attitude Doubt this move is made. A real contender should do it.
On paper it looks pretty good - Ramsey and TJ at the corners and Adams and Maye at S. Ramsey however is a loudmouth and a trouble maker. A lot of $$$$. Of course he is a #1 CB and the market would dictate regardless. Would Jax take just a first round pick? Can Douglas rebuild a quality OL without a first round pick in hand ? There will be a hole at LT next season - not to mention C. Those are two pretty important positions to fill also.....
After reading this by him, I would be dead set against a 1st for him, "...but Ramsey has gone on record saying he is going to ask for so much money on his next contract, they will have to put him on layaway."
Dak turned down 30 million today from the Boys. We have a couple of years before we have to pay Sam. I would throw everything at winning this year and next. All in now. We basically have this year and next to load the cannon.
