I am convinced that Adam Gase really hurt him personally LOL

Maybe there is something we don't know about between Gase and Ralebird.

It's quite comical now reading his posts

Here's a few that came up after a cursory search...there's more but I got better shit to do today.
The ones not in "quote" boxes were from locked threads.

-The Miami Herald piece is behind a paywall but here's another that gives a synopsis if you can't see the original. Has problems in the locker room and the board room. His prowess as an offensive guru is belied by his tenure in Miami. Pass.

-Because he is such a leader of men that he can't get along with the guys who work for him or the guy he works for?

-Mehta can't even get his lies straight. If it's a giant myth that he did not lose the Dolphins locker room it means he did lose the Dolphins locker room.

-If that's the best supporting article available it's underwhelming.

-I'm going to gripe and moan until I see something positive coming of the move.

-Give control to a guy with not only a failing record but a history of butting heads with both ownership and players? No. Thank. You.

-But the related decision to put Gase in the driver's seat for even one hour is utterly moronic. As opposed to his hiring as coach as I have been, I had taken a wait-and-see attitude regarding his tenure on the sidelines; giving him the keys to the kingdom, however is just stunning, even for someone who's been watching the Jets for over fifty years.

-This guy has absolutely no record of success in management and failed miserably at being a consensus builder in his last job. How can anyone justify such a move, whether he keeps the job himself or is instrumental in bringing a personal associate into the mix?

What a waste of time. That is reality, not negativity. You can't find a single one to take issue with. Guys here are creating fantasies to laud the guy who has yet to win a game but when I cite the realities of his history you call it negative? So be it.

I’ve seen people support the limited moves that he’s made. At a bare minimum, he made sure Mac was shown the door. Good move. I haven’t really seen the other things that posters are ‘lauding’ but if you see them, they must be there.

You have to be kidding. There are guys here who have all but canonized him. Most fall back to claiming he is far superior to the roster of bums who have held the job before him when the only legitimate metric for an NFL coach is his own record.

Even praise for whatever part he had in getting rid of MacCagnan is misguided; I want a coach whose sole focus is on winning games not playing politics within the organization. I'm still waiting to see if he has that capacity.

"But the related decision to put Gase in the driver's seat for even one hour is utterly moronic."

And the end result of that was Joe Douglas, who regardless of how he turns out, was about as highly-regarded a guy as we could get. So not only was it negativity and not reality, but it was also a terrible take.

Ha! You say he was playing politics, I say he was trying to set himself up for success. Ever had a bad boss Railbird? Gase did, so he worked to get rid of him and thank god. Maybe we’ll actually build a real OL now.

Nobody is anywhere close to canonizing the guy...that’s definitely all in your head. You see little things as big things because you have an irrational hatred of the man. It’s ok, really, but know that denying it just makes you look ridiculous. If that’s ok with you then so be it.

Nope. That was clearly an opinion, but only a highly edited piece of that opinion of Gase being named interim GM, it has nothing to do with his coaching duties which is where he needed to be directing all his energy at the time. The guy had absolutely no experience in the front office and someone in that office should have been the interim.

The hiring of Douglas was NOT as a result of Gase being put in as a placeholder but as a result of MacCagnan being fired. As you say, it's too soon to grade the hiring of Douglas, but it looks good to me today.

You must have missed half a dozen threads when he was hired.

The height of stupidity is to claim someone has a hatred for someone they've never met, whose lives don't touch and probably never will. Right next to it is the concept that there is something important enough about an entertainment product to evoke anything even slightly resembling hate. I sincerely hope, for your benefit, that can be attributed to a simple poor choice of words rather than a belief that people actually get that emotional over something as unimportant as a football game.

Yes, that was clearly an opinion. But you didn't say it was an opinion. You said "That is reality, not negativity." But it wasn't reality. And it was negativity.

    You're telling me.

I said you were throwing shade...not facts.

You don't like the hire. That's a fact.

You definitely get emotional bud. Especially where it concerns Adam Gase. Seems a little unhealthy, but hey, they say the last person to know they have a problem is the afflicted person themselves.

The bolded is 100% factual, which I have said more than once since January. But I have taken a wait and see attitude on how it will play out and have never claimed he will be a failure here as he has been in the past. I don't create fantasies about either failure or success. I deal with facts and clearly recognizable opinion, not wild claims. If some of those facts do not support the concept of Gase as god, I make no apologies.

Are you serious? You're going to take two different quotes from two different postings out of context and attempt to make them part of the same statement? Get real; there may be a job for you in politics.

I guess you have no idea what getting emotional actually means, Sonny.

They seem to be part of the same statement. I haven't ruled out running for president though.
