When I'm at a sports bar and go outside to smoke and there's fellow Jet fans outside it's amazing how little they know about the team/players. Other fans too. I saw a guy wearing a Steelers jersey (Big Ben) and commented about Jets getting Bell. Guy didn't seem to know who Bell even was.
Sounds like the defense has found its groove. Hopefully they won’t stifle development on the offensive side of the ball.
Apparently Mclendon was out for personal reasons. I'm guessing it's something with his family. Hope everything is okay.
Where I live, I don't ever meet other Jets fans, but last season I met a guy through a mutual friend, and we went to the local bar that played all the games. So we get to talking, and we're watching the game, and I slowly start realizing he knows almost nobody on the team, save Sam, Adams, maybe one, or two more. I was so let down, thought I had met a new friend who was a die hard.
You forget that Nacho's play during his 4 road playoff wins was the best for any QB in Jet history. Sanchez was not the reason we lost.
Man, he just can't stay healthy. I really like him as a player, but he has to stay healthy and contribute this year, or I'm not sure it's worth it to bring him back. We could cut him next year and save $2.4 million on the cap, but would take a $5.4 million dead money hit on the cap. If we cut him in 2021, we'd save $6 million on the cap, but still take a $3.6 million dead money hit on the cap. In 2022, we'd save $9.6 million on the cap, but would still take a $1.8 million dead money hit on the cap. Mac's last draft may be his best and a gift that keeps on giving, but unless Enunwa stays healthy and contributes at a high level, his contract is going to be an albatross around the Jets' necks for the foreseeable future. Thanks, Mac!
Hold on a second, @NCJetsfan ! Hopefully it is no big deal and Enunwa can stay healthy and produce at a high level this season and for years to come.
