What are you hoping to see in this first preseason game of the 2019 season? What are you expecting NOT to see?
-The new uniforms and helmets being worn for the first time in a game. -The rookies play for the first time. -Cool to see Adam Gase and Gregg Williams on the side line for the first time. I'm hoping for NO INJURIES. I'm expecting NOT to see the starters for too long.
Expecting NOT to see much if anything out of the starters, expecting to see a thrilling scrubs vs scrubs matchup. But fuck it, football is back, I'll take it. Why the hell is this the first game and not the third like normal?
I'm hoping to see energy, lots and lots of energy, and a lot of new faces flying around. Dying to see how Gase and Williams handle pre-season.Mostly interested in those that are essentially much less known to us or on the bubble. Hope to discover a gem or two from the undrafted free agents and later round rookies. I'm not expecting to see much from Bell and even from Sam, and obviously not from Kalil. Most intrigued to see Big Q against NFL talent, Darnold first throw, and Bell first run. Then quickly let the starters give way to the second team. Can't wait TGG friends. Its been a long time and much has changed since we talked about on the field observations.
beause they play each other in the regular season so they dont want to show their real offense and defensr to each other
I'll be taking a more strategic view of what happens on the field. I want to see plays come in and be executed before there's 1sec left. I want to see play calling that makes sense which includes running pass patterns BEYOND the first down marker. I want to see a vast improvement in pass protections. I'll also be looking at the 2nd and 3rd stringers. Hopefully, Webb will see some time at Qb. Lastly, NO INJURIES!!
I'm just pumped to see Jets football again! The offseason always takes FOREVER. My wife isn't thrilled about it starting again, that's for sure haha!!
No injuries is all I ask for. Game plans tend to be vanilla, so I won't read too much into the stats players accumulate in this game.
I take this back. There’s one thing I can think of that matters: punt returns. Lots of guys can catch them in practice but not when the lights are on. Let’s see if Dortch is our guy.
And field goals...Canazaro has looked awful in practices. I hope they have a plan B ready if Canazaro keeps playing poorly.
I will be interested in the play calling on both sides of the ball. Like everyone else, I am praying for no injuries. It will also be interesting to see how the new uniforms look on the tube.
If Kalil isn’t ready and they play it safe with Beachum, I barely want to see Sam out there. Edoga is getting annihilates by our 3s, we can’t risk that.
I honestly want to see how both of our kickers look,,,,can one guy pin them deep and or kick and can the other guy kick em thru the uprights and actually hit the end zone or beyond on kickoffs ?
I wanna see no injuries and shiny new uniforms.......and I dont want to see that monster with the no pigment on his face ex coach guy......nightmares
I don't expect anything special in the line of play calling, it pre season. I want to see good execution on both sides of the ball, few penalties, lot of energy, no injuries.
