The fact that he could have sat home the rest of his life, but decided to join a young team because of the 22 year old QB?? That's a man who will come back committed to the role. Fucking awesome move.
Only played 6 the prior year and 8 before that. Also, doesn't answer the question about his playing ability during that time either.
Just because you start doesn't mean you are fully healthy. He missed games the 2 seasons prior. Ankle, Shoulder nagging injuries. EDIT - @LeonNYJ said it already.
He had a neck injury in 2017, hence the missed time. Last year he was fully healthy and played every single game. I would mark him in the healthy category
Had a neck injury in 2017. I'm really hoping for the best here, but the Jets history with old vets is not too inspiring. https://www.carolinahuddle.com/boards/topic/157860-ryan-kalilto-thejets/ "Well, that was unexpected. He seemed to fully accept that he was totally washed by the end of last season and seemed downright apologetic about his play at times." Sorry to be "that guy," but we need to calm down.
I just checked my calendar and it still says August 1st. I swore it felt like December 25th reading this news!
Oh man thank you Joe Douglas! No way Mac could have pulled this off, mostly because he didnt feel our offensive line needed to be improved. I love this and with Harrison as backup we have nice depth there. Not sure what the contract details are other than 1 year deal, but it could end up being better than going with Morse or Paradis. We need to build through the draft anyway, these veterans are stop gaps regardless.
