We do better with UDFA then drafted. Robbie, Burnett, Luvu....can't wait to see Douglas Draft.

Agree cant worry about that now because its too late to fix this O-line.... #1 reason To me why previous GM was fired ..... you cant have FQB and not protect him

Crowder has been cleared to return to practice. That's good news :D
    https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/...ice-a-day-after-leaving-with-apparent-injury/

The New York Jets can breathe a little easier knowing that the injury that forced receiver Jamison Crowder out of practice on Monday isn't serious. After leaving that session following what appeared to be a left ankle/foot injury, the team announced that the 26-year-old has been medically cleared and is expected to practice on Wednesday.

This is obviously the best-case scenario for New York as Crowder is poised to be a big piece in their offense going forward. Had this injury diagnosis been more dire, it would have given the Jets a speed bump to overcome right out of the gate. Alas, it appears to be smooth sailing at this point for Crowder as the team's medical staff has given him the green light.

Crowder is about to embark on his first season with the Jets after the franchise inked the pass catcher to a three year, $28.5 million deal at the start of free agency this offseason. The 5-foot-9, 177 pounder is earmarked to line up primarily in the slot and be a go-to option for second year quarterback Sam Darnold.

Prior to landing in New York, Crowder spent his entire career with the Washington Redskins, who selected him in the fourth round of the 2015 NFL Draft out of Duke. Last season, Crowder was limited to just nine games, but total 29 receptions for 388 yards (13.4 yards per-reception) and two touchdowns.

Yeah I was just thinking about this today. We have spent next to nothing to get our wide receivers. Assuming Dortch and Burnett stick, we will have spent a total cost of 3 UDFA's, a 6th rounder in Quincy, and a free agent in Crowder (who was originally a 4th rounder). While we lack a true #1 receiver, I think this group is really good for the price we acquired them for. Add Bell and Herndon to the group and Sam has decent weapons. I wish we built this team in other areas this effectively.

The first thing Douglas is gonna do in the off-season is rebuild or at least add major pieces to the OL particularly LT, C, and potentially RG. #1 WR will probably be a need also ( I’m still holding out hope Robbie Anderson can be that guy ) however OL comes first . It will be hard to draft or find a #1 WR when LT ( not to mention CB ) will be a gaping hole this offseason....

There are supposed to be a few WR's with #1 potential and the OT class is deep enough that we can go WR in round 1, then OT in round 2. IMO, Anderson will never be more than a #2, which is still good for a UDFA.

You could be right on Anderson. The Jets need a HR next offseason to be considered true contenders but I think this season will be fun .....

It’s training camp and guys are going to be injured. Main thing is no season ending and let’s hope any injuries do not occur to our top 10 guys. Did you just start watching football or just desperate to start a thread? Your title is ridiculous but I guess us Jets fans need to look for shit to worry about. Injury Bug... Ha.

So: a reserve OL jag and Croweder who's cleared to practice not 48 hours later?

Giants: Corey Coleman tears his ACL, Sterling Shepard fractured his thumb, Odell Beckham's replacement (Golden Tate) has been suspended for four games...
