Trust me, Hack's failures had nothing to do with coaching or teammates or anything like that. He just plain sucked. And the fact that Mac still thought in today's day and age that playing a pro system means anything is another indictment on his ability to be a GM.

Sounds to me he's on PUP LIST not IR. Is it time to worry about FS Marcus Maye? Coach Adam Gase was non-committal on whether Maye, who had shoulder surgery after the season, will be ready for Week 1. "I really hope so," he said. "It's one of those things where I don't want to say he's going to be there automatically. We're hoping so." Maye hasn't been cleared for practice; therefore, he's on the PUP list. The backups are Doug Middleton and Rontez Miles.
Imma let you all in on a secret...Maye is never going to play 16 games in a season. Never. This is why you pass on guys who struggle to stay healthy in College. It doesn’t typically improve at the pro level.
He was limitied at OTA's. I dont think this means much as there is still another month and a half for him to get healthy. He can also return at any time on the active PUP. What Mac should get blamed for is not drafting another safety late or picking up a good backup in free agency in anticipation for this. But then again, all Mac did was salivate on interior defensive players each year.
I have nothing against Maye, but I wanted a skill position player or OL with the pick used to take him.
