I'm with you. The new GM and HC actually make me look forward to watching it. I like where their heads are at.

I don't know what was worse, him forgetting their names, or his excuse for forgetting their names... that he had gotten them all right the first time, and then the HK film crew said they weren't rolling and needed him to do it again. Like he had them all rehearsed and got them right on the first take and them immediately forgot then 5 minutes later after thinking about clouds or something.

He's one of the biggest meat heads I've ever seen.

With the amazing cameras & editing platforms available today...a small crew can put together a very presentable package....uniform reveal excepted...

Then they DEFINITELY hired some new people. Like I said, I know a guy that works for their production team because he got fired from the one I work for... there’s no shot he’s involved with any of that.

Thankfully. Of course they had to lowball him first, but at least they got it done. Gase must've gone bug-eye on CJ. But maybe also try hiring better analysts than Matt Sheldon.

 

Worked in television production for years after graduating Syracuse.

Now I'm the national video production manager for a corporation and lead a team of 45 people across the US. Nothing glamorous or creative really but it's interesting work.

 

Nice. I'm in production as well, I do mostly documentary shooting/producing/editing for a fairly well-known company. It's not Hard Knocks

 

I guess it runs in my family.

My grandfather won an Emmy for the 1982 Olympic Games at Lake Placid, NY. He worked with ABC forever. Traveled the world on their dime. This was around the transition from radio to TV and he was at the cutting edge of all of the TV advancements of the times.

I worked for Viacom, NBC, WR Productions (a production company established to make the show "The Amazing Race" on CBS. Did a 27 hour stint one time on the show "Ed".

I was young, money was great, hanging around the extras (which were girls my age they bused in) was a perk...

But the grind is rough.

Documentary film classes I took at Syracuse were always my fav. Maysles, Herzog, Erol Morris..great stuff.

The grind is awful but I’ve been lucky enough to find a job that has a great balance. When I’m getting sick of the edit room it’s time to be in the field. When I’m sick of traveling, it’s time to get back in the edit room. It’s a staff job too for a company that isn’t going anywhere any time soon. We work with a lot of freelancers or “run of show” guys and I have no clue how they do it. I was permalance for the NBA for 4 years and I gladly accepted my lay-off when the lockout hit (helped that I already had my current job waiting in the wings but still).

And I come from a line of doctors so I’m probably more of a disappointment than anything
