Does anyone have a link regarding this woman. I'm reading she claimed injury well after the fact, another board says it was almost a year later. Every report from the time of the accident mentions Herndon and the other driver, Albert Elliott. Elliot did suffer minor injuries including a gash to his arm. There is no mention of a female passenger in any of the reports. I'm curious as to how long after the crash did she seek medical attention. 2-3 days after is pretty common. It's usually the next day that the pain really hits. Was she Elliot's Passenger or Herndon's? Does anyone have a legitimate link with the information? I have not seen any mention of her before Rapoports tweet today and he gives no timeline. Things just don't add up.
Assuming the damage is solely to the driver side,no rear/front or passenger side this is a moderate impact far from severe. New fender,2 new door shells, ,Qtr panel looks repairable w.o getting close up..10-12 hours of repair time, hard to tell if pillar damage doesnt look like it new rims/tires..perhaps some steering/suspension damage strut/control arm/tie rods. $8-12k.unless theres pillar damage nothing structural. If they didnt have any blunt force trauma at scene..IE contusions, abrasions, fractures etc then the damage isnt indicative of anything.Odds are the claim is soft tissue & potentially subjective.
So is everyone still all bold claiming the Jets will win 10 games? You realize this is the first damage the Jets are taking on your plan for them to win 10 games. This is just the first of many unfortunate events that will cause the Jets to be a 6 or 7 win team.
Why do Patriots fans sign up here and masquerade as Jets fans? Is it some kind of mental illness? I can think of at least a half dozen of these tools.
As soon as I saw his post I thought of the recently exiled Wackenberg, he's been trying to change up his posting style but they always slip up. Same reason Philly Stackz always got outed.
Must have been an alky for some time to have his brain cells destroyed by alcohol. IMHO he should be a cut immediately.
If Herndon had a shitty to mediocre season last year, how much "outrage" would there be here? This smacks of the leniency given to star athletes that lead them to believe they can do anything and get away with it. He's lucky nothing worse happened and that he's only suspended 4 games. I hope he's learned his lesson and won't D&D again, but won't be surprised if he does. The Jets knew a suspension was coming, and probably knew it was 4 games so they shouldn't have been blindsided by this, and if they were, shame on them. As for the woman supposedly making a belated injury claim, sometimes injuries take a while to manifest, but if she's faking it still doesn't excuse what Herndon did, In fact, this is all the more reason to be careful while driving - it's too easy to milk an accident, but if you're the one at fault then you have no real defense.
I read in the daily news that Herndon will appeal the decision of 4 game suspension. Herndon, who will be eligible to return on Monday, Oct. 7 after the Jets square off against the Philadelphia Eagles is appealing the NFL’s decision, the Daily News has learned. The tight end can participate in all offseason activities including the pre-season.
