Goal differential is used in tie breakers so you can't really blame them for that. Celebrating doesn't bother me either since every goal does matter and gets them closer to where they want to be.
So, not to be a racist prick or anything, but how would anybody know if the Japanese team suited up a couple of guys?
Camaroon blasts officials after loss to England. https://www.espn.com/soccer/fifa-wo...meroon-blasts-officials-after-loss-to-england My girls got hosed. .
I really don't know how anyone can take this seriously - a blatant dive in front of the US goal is not called, and then on the VAR they overrule it and call a penalty shot for England. At least karma kicked in and the shot was saved.
The PK call didn’t bother me so much as she looked more offsides than on the goal that was called back.
My view was that it was a terrible penalty call followed by a terrible penalty kick. The flopping by both teams was pretty ridiculous also.
12 was clearly onside. There is no offside in the build up to the penalty decision. I also think that White was caught in the build up, but the US defender is simply trying to get back, so it shouldn't have been a foul.
VAR is shit. Penalty was so flimsy that only VAR would give it. There was contact, it did (possibly) affect the scoring opportunity, but would never be called live by a ref. Just like the offside goal would never be called live in a game because it was too tight - a matter of inches. Donkey's explanation of the reason it wasn't offside in the build up is correct. You cannot be offside if you are not interfering with play, which means actually touch the ball in this era basically. Better team won. End of story.
Im aware of the rule..#12 is the player who centered the ball before the PK was called...just watched again and its close but i cant find a good angle......Dahlkemper might have been nack but its close
by the way, speaking of Dahlkemper, she was bad yesterday. got caught watching the ball on England's goal and let her man through on that offside goal....pretty shaky
Ok. Misread the original. I didn't think there was anyone even close to offside, but haven't checked. I seem to recall someone in an offside position earlier in the build up but not at the critical point when the ball was played forward.
Never really been a soccer fan and still can’t watch men’s soccer but my daughter has been interested in the women’s game and got me watching and I have to say it’s pretty entertaining.
First off shame on you for not watching men's soccer. Second, God bless your daughter. Third, I hope this is a start for your soccer fandom. Brook! out.
