Yup, my error, it was Vitt. But I took it as he was like a kid who didn't really know what he was doing but was very energetic. Like I said before, it looks like he has a way to go; nobody's in pads.
Yes, I know what you asked. My answer and reasoning were pretty clear - no? While I think Polite has the potential to develop into an important piece of the defense over time, I'm more interested in the growing chemistry between Sam and his receivers this summer.
Fat Leonard Williams. The guy is doing all the right things, but he can't do it by himself. I think Gregg Williams and Quinnen Williams are going to make him look like a different player.
Bell because we haven't had a home run hitter like that in a long time. Obviously Sam's progression is most important.
My vote for the “other” category was with the Oline in mind. All eyes will be on that unit throughout the preseason. Sam is obvious, but I care more about their ability to protect him and open running lanes than him looking good during a scrimmage.
I voted QW. Really want to see him and want him to be the force he was a Bama. I guess the rookies are close because we've never seen them vs NFL talent All the others are of huge interest though, really is hard to chose 1. Cant wait to see Bells effect on the O, Darnolds progression, Polite make an impact. No wrong choice here.
He seems like he has all the tools to be but clearly hasnt been given any direction. If Gregg Williams can get this guy to play to his potential it would be great. He's such a wildcard that he is one of the players that piques my interest to see him play the most. But really this entire team is a wildcard...new coaches, Darnold in year 2, a lot of offseason acquisitions, etc. I have no idea how good (or bad) this team will really be.
In the Pre-Season? No thanks. The less Sam, the better. I get he needs to learn the new system, but soon he needs to be treated like the franchise QB he is. Meaning not much play in the 1st or 2nd Pre-Season games. Play a half or a drive into the 3rd Quarter of Game 3, then out for Game 4. I am really interested to see how Siemian, Webb, and Falk look though. I assume Trevor has the edge to be the back-up, but you never know. I think the rookies are a great answer. See how Williams, Polite, and Wesco look. Those 3 could be actual contributors in 2019.
Yea in the preseason. I’m sure they are going to be careful with his playtime but it’s still who I am most looking forward to seeing.
Obviously I'm most excited to see the starters in the preseason, but given I'll see them all season I like to look at the younger guys. I want to see Polite, Greg Dortch, and Trevon Wesco.
