Interesting. I watched all of those games and didn't particularly remember any special Darnold to Anderson chemistry that made me exclaim "just wait 'til next year!". I remember McCown to Anderson chemistry on those beautiful deep routes the previous year. I like both players of course, so, good? Otherwise I agree about four games being a small sample size.

You must've been drunk. Week 14:

That throw alone, better then any of McCowns throws against a top tier CB.

    Here is another.

Heck, didn't even get into the Broncos and Colts games, I hate when people act like Darnold only played well at the end of the year.

The man who invented Hawaiian pizza, setting off one of the biggest debates in food, died on Thursday at the age of 83. Sam Panopoulos, who was born in Greece and moved to Canada when he was 20, decided to try out pineapple on pizza in 1962 to attract customers to one of his Ontario-based restaurants

    Blame the Greek Canadians :p

not to mention they don't like fumbling. Anderson needs to hold onto that football better and/or get a lot stronger

I guess you also missed week 16 VS. Packers. Sam threw 24 for 35 no INT & 3 TD's and Robbie had 9 receptions... 140 yards receiving...1 TD. I'll take that any day;)

He had a good game against the Lions, Colts, Broncos, Bills, Texans, Packers. The only game he was really BAD was the infamous bad hike game that they pulled Long out & replaced him with Harrison. 4 INT. game

I thought he was too aggressive in the Vikings game, so we add that to the list of bad games. The first Fins game, the skill position players turned the ball over like crazy. The Bears game, I thought he played well given the circumstance with players out.

Situation wise, Darnold had a tough year. Working with a bad coaching staff, and a tough schedule, but he finished the season a better player.

Going by memory, sams biggest issue was recognizing the lb in zone coverage.

You're operating on the Jets QB scale. On the NFL QB scale, Darnold was good against the Lions, Broncos, Colts, Texans, and Packers. He was okay against the Bills and bad in the other seven games he played. The talent and coaching didn't help, but he has a significant jump to make just to get to league average.

    Yes good points.

You could make an argument that the broncos game wasn't good by NFL standards. I mean yeah he hit a wide open Robby Anderson a couple times. But Darnold only completed 10 passes the whole game. 10 completions. In today's NFL that is not a good game. It was fluky or lucky

Makes sense. Hawaiian pizza probably tastes better on the way out.

It’s called efficiency. Also, Robby was most definitely not wide open on his second touchdown catch, that was a dime. The Jets also dropped 2 additional TD throws, including one that arguably should been called DPI. Darnold was good that day.

The reason he only had 10 completions, 2 of which were TD bombs to Robbie, is because we ran for over 300 yards that game.

Probably one of Sams best throws of the year. Defense was in good coverage and Sam threw a PERFECT pass hit Robbie in stride in the end zone. Dan Foutes couldn't say enough about the throw, "that was a big time throw and it tells me this kid is going to be a star in this league". I know one throw doesn't make or brake a QB but it shows he has what it takes to make a throw like that. Does he have a way to go...of course, so did Payton, Elway, and 95% of rookie QB'S. Let's face it we're all looking for a break out year from Sam. He has definitely shown me he's got what it takes, just needs to be more consistent ala the last quarter of the season, 6 TD's vs 1 INT is a good place to start.

Efficiency is having more incompletions than completions? I don’t think so
