here's one the Jets lost but its the second longest game ever. Or playoff game, or what ever? Jets vs. Browns | Marathon by the Lake | 1986 AFC Divisional Playoffs | NFL Full Game
So odd to see the Jets winning a game like that. This was a period of time we had good offensive firepower and could hurt you with 5 different guys (Toon, Walker, Shuler, McNeil, Hector) The whole same ol Jets dark cloud had not set in yet in 1986. I remeber a lot more optimism among the fan base
Fake ref calls and fake disappointment when dropping a pass. Real easy. But I enjoy the aesthetics of sports still. Uniform designs with sleeves and not as skin tight as now. Real grass. Make a game more gritty and appealing to watch.
A lot of people don't realize had the current review policy been in place instead of the one they used in 1986 the Jets probably would have lost the 51-45 game. Bobby Humphery fumbled the OT kickoff and it was recovered by Miami. However before the Dolphins could get a clear look at a replay the Jets ran up to the LOS and ran a play. That wouldn't fly by today's rules......
True. Though by todays rules they would be using a different ball/tee and kicking off from closer in the league's effort to eliminate excitement and increase touchbacks. Humphrey would probably be downing it in the endzone
Don’t you ever post this video again ... please. It’s the worst loss for me personally ever in any sport. I still get pissed hearing about it. I can’t go there.
really the only game during that era that i thought the jets actually did OK by drafting KOB instead of DM.
Lol watching a game on tv is the least important thing you do in life. It's tv entertainment, nothing more. A friend of mine just had a large tumor removed from his abdomen. Now he needs a month to get his strength back to walk again. That's important. It was a game on on tv 30 years ago. Youre an adult. Get over it.
But instead of visiting your friend, you're creating threads to remind strangers about the least important things in their lives.
Whoa! Haha. Hey, that's not like you, Hack! You're usually laughing down at us from on high like a playful and benevolent deity, not squabbling in the gutter with us lowlifes. Come on.
