As we move on to the finals, here's a little NHL-related factoid: of the major sports leagues, the NHL has the only two players to be ambi-hyphenates — Pierre-Luc Letourneau-Leblond and Jean-Luc Grand-Pierre.

Don't say I never told you anything.

Yep! Who predicted Blues-Bruins for the Cup Final? The same people who predicted Golden Knights-Capitals last year: No one! :D:cool:

    Great info, @statjeff22. Interesting.

For me, it's heartbreaking Fabbri can't find a role on this team. Guys like Thomas and Blais have been the young guys keeping this thing rolling. This should be a heavyweight Final. Colton Parayko is a stallion back there

The Blues are a great story and show the world how close the NHL truly is. The Blues were in bad shape the first half of the season, now 4 wins away from the Stanley Cup. They are playing really great too. The Game 3 horrendous call was going to go one of two ways: 1. It would kill the Blues and they would be done. 2. It would inspire them and get them over the hump. We know which happened. :)

Tarasenko was the guy I wanted to see the Isles trade for; the Blues were smart to not give up on the season. I watched quite a few Blues games this season and they felt like a team that could go on a run.

Yeah, Vladimir Tarasenko is the Blues' Alexander Ovechkin. He has been great the last 5 seasons. Really underrated player. St. Louis traded Oshie to the Caps, and he was a big factor in them winning the Cup. So I wish them good fortune in return in this Stanley Cup Final. Like I wrote a few days or weeks ago: Boston is much better than I thought though. They will be tough to beat, but I think the Blues can do it.

What are your Stanley Cup Final predictions? It is a little less exciting for me than last year (wonder why?) but I think the Blues-Bruins is a pretty good match-up. It has the potential to go 6 or 7 games too. I am going to say it does. Blues go down 3-2 in the series, win Game 6 at home, and shock the Boston crowd with a Game 7 win on the road. Blues in 7!

    I
I'm going with a split in Boston, Blues sweep at home, Bruins get one back at home and Blues puts it away in game six in St. Louis.

Only good thing if Brew-ins win is maybe Chara will retire, he was born in 1958

Great win for St. Louis. They imposed their will in that 3rd period and OT. They deserved the win. First Stanley Cup Final win in franchise history, similar to the Caps' Game 2 road win last year. We will see if the Blues can get the same series result too.

The Blues just physically wore them down. If they keep it up they will do to the B's what they did to the Sharks. As an Isles fan I would love to see Trotz win coach of the year but the job Berube has done since taking over is remarkable. They were last in the league with 34 points on Jan 3rd when he took over. Berube deserves to win coach of the year no doubt.

So much for that plan. Tonight's team was a totally different bunch than the guys who played the OT Thursday.

It's going to be tough for the Blues to come back from tonight. They looked awful. Binnington was overwhelmed. The Bruins look like they are joining the Patriots and Red Sox as current Champions in Boston. :(

I can't tell if I was just highly invested in last year's Cup Final or if this year's is clearly less entertaining and interesting, plus worse overall play. Big Game 4 coming up. The Blues need to step it up.
