I don't have the internet skills but i know it was captured and then deleted. And i think others on this board posted it too. Personally I can imagine Lee being disappointed but the tweet was classless and I can imagine it infuriating Gase who probably took little pleasure in the fact of another man losing his job.
Thank you both. Now I truly stand corrected. Good for Gase. Set the standard for the rest of the team.
I actually liked his potential, and would have preferred we find a role for him (passing situations etc) But it also could have been the case (speculation) that he was told that at this point in his career (and frankly should have been sooner) he's expected to set an example of professionalism; and he crossed the line Macc had quite a few characters in his draft class, from guys who drive drunk the wrong way in a tunnel, to talking smack about a cop's wife
Gase was thinking about NOW. Yes, moving Lee before training camp was probably good for the team NOW, but a GM thinks as much about NEXT year and the year after, something HCs rarely do. Holding out for a better 2020 pick would mean part of his brain was focused/worried about 2020 and beyond. But no HC worries about 'next year'. Gase shipping Lee out for peanuts is a good example of why HCs makes a bad GMs.
apparently he sent it right after the announcement, and i think the smiley face was intended to convey how happy he was with Macc's exit If he meant something innocuous why did he delete it
That's fine. IMO a number of the players he drafted should have still been on the team and contributing. Very few were. Yes in the last 4 years, a lot more should have been done to restock the roster, and that's on Mac, but between Tanny and Idzik, there was practically zero talent on the roster.
I know that, but imo there should still have been a few of those players contributing during Mac's first 2-3 seasons, and posters are always telling me that players can play well into their 30s.
I'm sure it was a coincidence, but it seems like as soon as Lee got traded for a 6, Robbie ran and signed his tender fast AF...... He's like I'm signing this SOB before I get shipped out to god knows where.....
Cmon dude.... don't reach so hard that you hurt your shoulder. What's the average NFL career? 3-5 years? 30+ outside of a few positions are freaks...
The bolded is what I've always said, but quite a few posters here said that I was wrong and full of it.
