No way would you take kuechly over Mosley he has had so many concussions he’s one hit from never play8ng again
9 starters? Williams Lee Jenkins Shell Edwards Adams Maye Darnald Herndon Or 8 if you don't include the punter, just because some ended up on IR doesn't make them official starters when they were fit.
Never saw the Mosley stuff, thanks. Gase really has no business whatsoever making personnel decisions. Not being a huge fan of Bell at the price we got him at is absurdly stupid. And I go Mosley over Kuechly in 2019 every day of the week. Leonard has played 17 career games... no way I'm ready to say I'd take him over Mosley. Jones had a monster 2017 and barely played last year. It hardly matters, but I still say Mosley is the second best ILB in the league.
his concussions were an issue, but last 2 seasons hes been healthy and finished pretty much the entire year.
Kuechly and Jones cover at an elite level. Jones had 1 injury ridden year, but he's still one of the best in the league hands down. Kuechly has been healthy as of late. I said probably in terms of Leonard, have to see if he makes that jump. More than likely he will.
Partially correct, Tanny was the cap guy, Grier ran the scouting Dept and Gase had full control of player personal and the draft. Grier just presided over his first draft for the Dolphins this year.
This whole episode reminds me of the movie "Flight of the Phoenix." (The original, not the terrible remake.) After a lot of fits and false starts about how to fix the Jets, and there were quite a few mistakes made, the plane now seems ready to take off. So now seems to me to be a bad time to fire the architect. And if the Jets happen to be good this season, a distinct possibility, Maccagnan will rightly have a claim on some of the credit.
Yes and the BETTER NEWS is that Gase has the same amount of letters as MACC so the price quote we got will be the same the banner people won't charge any differently !
How great would it be if the new GM fires Gase? Won't happen, because our reporting structure is among the dumbest I've ever seen, but a man can dream can't he?
Everyone jumping to conclusions. Maybe Gase was telling the truth. Maybe there was no animosity. Maybe the plan was to fire Mac all along but after the draft. This makes sense for Mac to help because he looks good for all the FA signings, but ultimately he and everyone already knew he was gone. He was simply theyre to negotiate and navigate the cap Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
I almost never think emotionally and from a logical frame of mind. None of this excuses it at all for me. Mac was trying to save his job at all costs. What did they expect? Mac felt the pressure and knew he needed to make some moves. The contracts weren't horrendous, yes, a few got overpaid, still not horrendous. It is very debatable on if this offseason was a success even, you can't determine that before a single game is even played. Gase didn't care for a lot of things in Miami as well, then when he did get his way by throwing his fits, what was the result? The team was bad and the dude still got fired. This argument is based around the idea that I should have some kind of hope or faith in Gase. I definitely don't. He has to prove he is a good HC, a winning coach, before I will allow myself to "logically" consider his opinions or disagreements with others, as a valid truth. As of now, that is far from the truth for me. It is absolutely ridiculous to put all your faith and eggs into the basket of Macc as you send Bowles out the door, just to fire him shortly after all the important aspects of an off season has concluded. That time could've been used on the vision of Gase, the vision of the new GM, whatever the case. Instead, we are looking at the vision of a guy that was fired as soon as everything relevant has concluded. That is moronic, a waste of time, a set back, and a joke. "Logically" speaking of course.
So Gase has a say in new GM, then new GM doesn't like Gase and fires him after a couple of years. Then Johnsons hire new head coach who doesn't get along with GM and the Johnsons fire the GM and on and on and on....
It's Belichick time! King for a day! Oh, by the by, if I ever see Charley Casserly, I'm gonna stick my foot up his ass. I'm sure Casserly's toupee has taken flight like a thief in the night and is spinning somewhere in space to avoid the collateral damage.
