Can we fire the Johnson brothers?

This has nothing to do with Mac and everything to do with timing. If this was going to be done it should've taken place months prior to the draft, we look like such a joke right now.

    This is truly sad.

What I also don't get is the draft ended two weeks ago, why wasn't this done then? Unless Chris Johnson was looking for a replacement over the past two weeks, which doesn't seem that has been the case, then doing this mid May is so strange.

    Who cares?

Ding dong the witch is dead.

We’ll get a new GM and the team will move in.

I wish I could pin this thread at the top. Truly it is the ownership. Johnson brothers are the problem and they have to go. But I am also scared of having an owner like Dolan or the owners of Mets.

All I know is Johnson brothers will never win a Superbowl for the Jets.

The Jets need a VP of Football Operations. Period.

We can never be just fully at peace with this team, there always has to be some circus surrounding these two clowns.

Taking care of business is being on top of your game in a timely manner.

    This is not that.

    This is moronic at best.

How do people so fucking stupid become so fucking rich?

    It literally scares me.

It's not the "move" you should be sad or concerned about.

Then what is it? Timing? If he is as bad as most of us assume you keep him another year? We don't have time wasting Darnolds years. Make the moves to try and get your guy

Don't be scared...it'll all work out.

Better to cut bait than let things fester through the season.

    We're stuck with the owners.

The bold and right move would be to have a plan and action in place right after the prior season.

Allowing a lame duck GM to spend 100 mill and make a top 3 pick for your team is moronic.

Wasted years? That still falls on the owners shoulders. They hired Mac, they allowed him to indulge in an off season he had no business even being a part of.

This team is a joke and it's because we as fans have a owner(s) that are 100% incompetent and well over their heads.

I thought Leon was out there when he said, "Let's bring back Richie Kotitie," but the brothers Johnson are getting into that territory.

Been watching this organization long enough to know I'd be foolish to expect the best from today's news. Anyone familiar with me on these boards know I'm generally an optimist. The primary issue is the "duel reporting to the owner" management system. Clearly it's causing these issues over and over again. We can't seem to get HC/GM on the same page, and this management system the Johnson's employ is the reason.

Mac should have been fired with Bowles and a VP of football hire the Gm and coach and they both report to the VP. The reason Mac was retained is our owner is not a football guy and could not hire a coach on his own. Why he didn't fire mac after the Gase hire and find someone who works well with Gase is beyond me. So now the damage is done for this off season. We didn't find a starting Center, CB or speedy WR. And we over paid for a middle LB and RB that has not played for 2 years. And we got rid of a Pro Bowl FG kicker and replaced him with someone that we let go last year. So even if we get a great GM, its wait till next year. I AM SO GLAD I AM NOT A SEASON TICKET HOLDER. I AM ONE GAME AND DONE. TAKE YOUR TEAM AND SHOVE IT JOHNSON BROTHERS. YOU AINT GETTING SHIT FROM ME. F WOODY. F CHRISTOPHER!!!

    It'll all work out?

You have any idea how many Jets fans have quoted that very line over the last 50 years?

Being stuck with incompetent owners doesn't bode well in the "working out" factor for me.

I feel like we need a revolt as fans. Something. Fuck these morons.

    Well billboards won't work.

We need to get some gold digger to surreptitiously record the Johnson brothers saying something racist...
