Considering you are firing the guy who is in charge of adding players for not adding good enough players. Firing him after he added more players instead of before he could add those players doesn’t really seem logical now does it?
To make matters worse.... On bleacher report, it's now reported the gase didn't want our new rb Sent from my VS987 using Tapatalk
Well we need that coming out to motivate Bell into a great season, fuck this team and if true Gase can go and get fucked also.
Gase is a bit Machiavellian ...I posted this before, he cant say anything negative about the GM until this actually went down This was in the works for months imo I think J and J wanted to give MM one last chance and then finalize their decision It might be a good one
The answer to that question is no, Gase has no business having this much influence on the team. He’s on a short leash even as a coach imo.
Well they fired the GM & the VP...who else is gonna be Interim GM? Chris Johnson? That'd go over real well I think the days of "Gm hires the coach & is his superior" are over. The jets are FAR from alone in this regard. Teams are running w. this collaborative structure.. As such.. you likely want guys who work well together & share a common vision. We haven't had that since tanny/mangini. Rex didn't wanna work w. Tanny anymore. Rex hated idzik & vice versa. mac & Bowles relationship has been well documented. under a collaborative structure how is that sort of arranged marriage supposed to work? Gase gets his guy...who if reports are accurate is a very well thought of president of personnel for a team that scouts very well, they share a common vision, won't have toxic fumes & if it fails they go out together. No more of this one or the other messy lines bullshit.
when do you fire your scouts, when you realize you need to fire them? Not two months before a draft. And when you realize your scouts are not good enough, when do you fire the man who brought them in? Two months before the next draft? I like this.
but he didn't get fired for screwing up free agency... he got fired for problems arising from the draft
Hey, this makes total sense, about as much as giving your wife the credit card to max out on whatever she wants right before asking for a divorce.
Funny how only Tony Pauline reported this around draft time (and then took a pretty good razzing about it), and now all of the beat writers are on it like flies on shit. These guys are all full of it. They might as well be quoting sources from this forum, it's just as legit.
