That doesn't make sense - usually you fire one or the other in that situation, not both.\ Unless they we're having a closeted workplace relationship that violated company policy and got exposed? Then the dual dismissal makes sense, I guess. Hmmm.
Instead of the NFL spending time busting players for smoking weed, why don't they look more into self-destructive franchises? You can't tell me for a second that this doesn't register as an egregiously poor ownership decision. Doesn't the league weigh in on situations that could harm the entire landscape of a division? At what point is the ownership held responsible for repeatedly making terrible choices? Unless Mac was caught doing something, there really was no legitimate excuse to pull the trigger at this juncture. If the scouting department was to get shitcanned now, I could accept that. Firing your GM in May, VERY hard to condone. Imagine being all the new players that were just signed and drafted. Leaves a really good first impression! Welcome to the Jets! Maybe it's time for the Johnson's to piss in a cup too.
It sounds like Gase is feeding her that line because he doesn't want to come across as a power-hungry maniac. Note that they also fired Heimerdinger.
I can see your perspective, but does Gase deserve to have this much power for a HC who hasn't accomplished much? The new GM will likely be a Gase guy.
Why? Because 100 million to mega billionaires is nothing..if they could the Brothers would give Gase the same $ today Frankly, I dont see what we as fans have to lose since I believe MM's Writing was on the Wall as soon as C J hired Gase and was very impressed. So the PLAN to replace MM was in the works for months>>>I wonder if Gase will keep that photo of MM all alone in the Draft Room ..hmm My thinking is the HC had better ideas this last draft and impressed the owners more with his knowledge ..but with the system they have in place he was powerless Of course he should have been fired with Toilet but ...better late than never I suppose Its a big gamble doing this..but when ya got nothing (no playoffs in years) ya got nothing to lose
Nope. Better now than a few weeks before the draft. Best not go into the season with strife in the front office
Its not the firing, its the TIMING of the firing that has everyone out of sorts. John Edward Smith would be proud of Christopher Johnson today!
Mac owed Heimerdinger money, but Heimerdinger wouldn't pay him back. So Mac punched him in the face and broke his jaw.
