Posted this a couple pages back. I wonder what QBs were in the scouts top 5 in the 2018 draft if Allen and Jackson weren't on a single one of their ballots. Mayfield Darnold Rosen and.....
Darnold's game winning drive against the Bills was great but if I remember correctly the Jets special teams had two huge plays in the game that setup scores. I think they returned a punt or kickoff ( I forget) inside the Bills 10. Anyway last year is done so I am looking forward to this season and hopefully watching Darnold take the next step in becoming a franchise QB.
Bills squib kicked after kicking a FG, return was minimal but there was a penalty which brought the ball to the 50. And I just rewatched the next throw which was Sam throwing a fucking perfectly-placed BEAUTY to Robby down the right sideline. God damnit I can't wait.
100% agreed. I think Murray will find ways to be a player in this league and I think Haskins as all the tools to be a player in this league. I like Rosen a lot but you can't trust Miami to do anything properly and I think Allen won't even have his 5th year option picked up.
Murray will be better than Rosen. I'm not even a little worried about Rosen being in our division. I'd bet Allen has the better career than Haskins tho, although I'll be rooting for Haskins to stick it to the Giants.
I don't have high hopes for Haskins or Allen. Rosen I'm on the fence with. Not sure how committed he is to the NFL or if he's gutsy/strong enough for the league. Just seems...meek. But a lot of talent is there
I wouldn't even mention the names of "Josh Rosen" and "Josh Allen" within the same sentence as that of Sam Darnold; who's one of the highest rated drafted QB's since Andrew Luck. Face it. If we drafted Sam Darnold last year during the 1st round, only to draft Kyler Murray this year, followed by then getting rid of Sam Darnold after only 1 year; and this fan base and forum would explode and consider the Darnold pick a "failure of a bust" for an eternity: Rosen has a long way to go before he's on pace with Darnold, who looked absolutely promising during our final 4 games (behind a bottom rated O-Line) and performed as a Franchise caliber Quarterback within the making; none of which can be said about and/or for "Josh Rosen". And Sam Darnold or Josh Allen? Only a fool takes Allen over Darnold. Not even a question. I want a RB? I scream for Le'Veon Bell. I don't want no running QB who first looks to run before he looks to carve up a defense with vision, accuracy and timing: which is everything that Sam is a natural at and everything that I can't stand about Allen due to being a polar opposite. I highly doubt he'll be starting for Buffalo 2-3 years from today. He's not a natural born leader and those racist remarks exposed during drafting process will haunt him/follow him amongst his own locker room and teammates until he fades out. Le'Veon disliked Roethlisberger and would hate Allen but I feel will love and embrace our kid Sam. Rosen and Allen aren't in the same class as Darnold. Mayfield won't be for long. This league will figure his style out. Darnold is a real pocket QB who will develop into a robot when locked in and focused and an ability to roll out and throw on the run he's the total package. We drafted the right one because although Baker looked awesome as a rookie his style of play would just make me nervous if had to root for seen him with happy feet on more than one occasion. Darnold or Baker? Easy answer. I feel Baker even with a great offense around him will flop in Cleveland. Sam Darnold was the #1 QB prospect and if Cleveland weren't "Cleveland" Sam Darnold would be a Brown right now. In the long run they'll regret PASSING on Sam Darnold.
