Well sometimes I get it right ----We were going to depart Florida in the early A M on Friday but we took a look at weather models and I saw there was some serious rain and storms that we could hit up North so we hung out until mid afternoon and let that crap up North pass and we drove on DRY land and never saw a raindrop-----that said now that we are home we are freezing our asses off !!!
CMAN------> oceans of time until then but long range models look unsettled on or around that Friday and also on that Sunday. I will keep an eye on them for you but what the models are saying right now is meaningless as its far off you have time
CMAN---> I would NOT postpone anything yet there is a lot of time and the long range models have sucked ass for months and could be wrong. When do yo need to commit ? If you can wait until mid next week I would, or at least next Tuesday if possible. Lots of time don't cancel brother

If CBG would be so kind as to free up some nice weather on a weekend at some point this summer, you're on! I am planning a trip on the weekend of May 17th/18th for Sea Bass. Will be going out of Pt. Pleasant Beach. I'll keep you posted.
Waiting to hear from my favorite weather guru... So far, Accuweather is showing good weather except for Fri. 10th. We should have a green light for the weekend.
Well hopefully he makes an appearance but that guy is probably on a beach right now with cape in hand and his feet in the surf with a cup of coffee in the other hand looking at the damn ocean. That said next week is still far off and the Models ( as of now ) are saying possible "YUCK" for Friday and Sunday looks IFFY , so that could be Monday or might be Saturday = still too far off to trust the models as they are lucky to get THIS FRIDAY / tomorrow correct . I will still keep an eye on it for you Skipper and hopefully one of these other weather geeks ( see Fjay or Batman or someone else ) chime in and confirm what Im saying or tell you its smooth sailing / yachting. CB, its Fishing, not yachting.. Depending on the marine forecast for Saturday the boat will sail or not. Do you guys have access to Marine forecasts too?
I know that it IS fishing and am just breaking balls, as my best friend had a boat and whenever we went out ( which I hate BTW land lubber here ) we always referred to it as yachting and I still do LOL.Its kind of like when we were at work and went to the LIBRARY for lunch but that was actually the bar but I stray. Marine forecast is not my forte but I will try and add it to my repertoire , as all I usually care about and look at are models, models and more models and when in panic mode the bat signal / Jayster. I will take a looksie
I have a fairly tight weather window for offshore fishing. If the conditions don't fall into that slot, I don't go. I need wave heights less than 5ft, winds lower than 15kt and rain possibilities under 40%. I need 2 out of 3 to go..
Ok , my amateur opinion is you are looking at highish winds and a pretty good chop. We have a pretty good low coming through Friday and as the moves out and the high fills in it is going to bring the wind. All a matter of when the low clears out. This is the euro for Saturday 12am Closer the lines the higher the winds. Your chasing the low so if it’s thought to start it will improve as the day goes on. What time are you shoving off?
