It was interesting that Melisandre said Arya will kill people with brown eyes, GREEN eyes, and blue eyes. Cersei has green eyes.
All the Lannisters do. Could be an interesting twist and she kills off Tyrion or Jaime. It's an interesting thing to think about. Last season and now this season, we are slowly seeing the turn of Tyrion. A guy who had so much knowledge and power with his mind is now being shut out and silenced because of poor judgements and bad mistakes. His character is silently becoming an interesting twist that I don't think many are paying attention to. Khalessi, whether right or wrong, has shut him out because of his mistakes. He has slowly been losing power every episode and we might have seen something turn in his mind last week when he was stuck in the crypts while everyone was fighting the battle. There also seems to be some form of passion between his character and Sansa that has been there for a while and is now being rekindled. Arya could end up ending Tyrions life to save her sister or save something much larger. Of course, this is all speculation. But I have been silently following his story line and I think he might be a twist that no one is necessarily expecting
Or it's setting up his redemption for a return to form, where his cleverness saves the day. I think that is more likely.
Did anyone else read/hear about this? Or even notice it? I haven't rewatched the episode yet (I normally go back to back on Sunday night with the previous episode into the new one), but I have heard this multiple times now. Do you think Bran was controlling the ice dragon And for that reason he wouldn't let Jon get to the NK because he saw the future and it had Jon dying to the NK so it had to be Arya?
Don't think so because Bran had returned by that point. Told Theon he was a good man. It's possible he was distracting the Dragon to let Araya get to the Night King though.
Next week will likely be the best episode of all. Several cast members have said week 3 pales by comparison.
Yeah these last 3 episodes are gonna be bitter sweet. It's been on for a damn long time but it's so sad to see it ending. I always wanted to know how it ends and now that I'm here, I wish it wasn't over.
I loved the spectacle of the last episode but the writing was atrocious. Also making cersei the ultimate villain which it appears that what they are going for, isn’t something I’m excited about. So I’m hoping there’s a surprise somewhere. Going forward I’m expecting an grandiose spectacle but a failure in writing.
Mother of Dragon..... I'm sure some will complain but I thought it was an excellent episode. Can't wait !
Brotha, you and I can disagree about this one lol I think this is hands down the greatest show ever. But what the fuck was the purpose of tonight's episode? Cersci is ruthless and not giving in. Khalessi is not fit to rule and is becoming a "madking". Jon Snow would be the best ruler. Anyone who knows about Jon Snow thinks he should be ruler. And Khalessi is more mad than ever going into war. I mean, I get the build up, but an hour and half episode for that? I didn't like it
And why the fuck is her dragon not flanking them from behind when that mother fucker can fly to the edge of space above them?
And why does she fly right into the arrows straight at the ships? Why wouldn't you fly around them and come up behind? This should have been over a long time ago with two fuckin dragons lol Oh well
You nailed it, it was all build up for next week. They we're ambushed, don't think she could have flanked them. The set up was necessary. I'm guessing Danny will die , but not at the hand of Cersi. The thing that makes this show so good is the build up and the unexpected.
The scorpions/ballistae were mounted on swivels, there really wasn't any way to flank them. Maybe she could've flown high enough but with that many ships they had a lot of angles covered. She flew straight at them out of anger, then thought better of it. I'll give them this, they're not stupid, they didn't just give up after she destroyed the first prototype while burning the Lannister army, they saw that the bolt wounded Drogon and built a shit ton of them. Of course, she might've taken the city if she had hit them right then and there, but probably would've destroyed it, slaughtering a lot of the inhabitants (~500,000 iirc). Now a season later, she's definitely going to destroy it, especially with Missandei's last words ringing in her head, which were essentially "burn this bitch to the ground".
