Mets win! We kill Vargas when he’s bad but he’s over his last 3 starts he’s pitched to an under 1.88 era so claps to him. Though he isn’t pitching deep.

Davis, McNeil (4 hits), and Alonso (26 RBI in April) win it for the Mets.

Not too many claps - he's still a 5 inning pitcher at his very best. But, he isn't the rotation problem right now - deGrom and Syndergaard are.

Yeah but I’ve been so harsh towards him so I was trying to give him some kudos.

Well, there's $30 million down the drain (not that it wasn't already down the drain).

If degrom can’t get right against the Reds well we have big problems my friends. Come on Jacob!

Great night for deGrom, and now Diaz AGAIN gives up a home run in the 9th inning of a tie game. This team just sucks.

All we needed was Noah today. Hopefully this will be Jacob and Noah performance going forward. Our offense need to wake up again though.

Hopefully deGrom has learned the secret now - pitch a complete game shutout and hit a home run, and then maybe you can avoid the Mets bullpen and actually win a game.

Unfortunately given Vargas, deGrom, and Syndergaard pitched well, presumably now Matz and Wheeler will get bombed.

At least Familia wasn't in to give up 2 runs first.

It is nice to see deGrom and Syndergard pitching well again. Hopefully the trend continues.

And as I predicted Matz getting knocked around, including that POS Braun hitting a two-run HR.

How many errors is Rosario going to have? Goodness! This team offense is trash right now.

I thought they weren’t going to use Diaz in a non save situation until the playoffs? lol I don’t get using him here. If the Mets figure out how to score now you don’t have your closer.
