What is up with all the hit by pitches this year? I'm seriously getting sick of this. They are lucky nobody fractured their hand yet and that call on Cano the other day was absurd. I don't know if I can survive until football season with this constant annoying bullshit.

Good bounce back performance from Matz.

Back 2 back hit by pitch. Geez it does seem like it’s happening more frequently.

5th Met pitcher to hit a home run and strike out 10+ in the same game.

Nimmo with an oblique injury. Have to see what happens - those can be bad.

Whoever is giving Mickey the red light green light on challenges is terrible at their job. Rosario has six errors in six days now.

In a game where Vargas has pitched 1-0 going into the bottom of the 7th I don’t want to lose this game. Come on boys.

Um at what point do we start worrying about Degrom? Is he’s hurt? Wtf is going on?

Oh, was I supposed to not start worrying yet? Sorry.

So, who had the end of April coming with the Mets hitting being excellent and them having the worst rotation in baseball?

My delusions of grandeur when it comes to Noah is quickly dissipating. :(

I did want one of those GOT bobblehead though. Maybe I'll be able to find it on eBay.

The Brew Crew are for real this year. But yeah, Noah has to be better.

Mets appear to be the worst defensive team in baseball, and also among the stupidest, with fundamental mistakes all over the place. The pitching also seems to be going down the toilet. This is looking like a team that could be out of it by the 4th of July if the Phillies get their shit together.

Calloway will get extended if this happens.

So, I see that they’ve finally given up on d’Arnaud. Too bad how his career has ended up being so disappointing. With the way Thor is pitching that trade is looking less one-sided all the time.

But hey, nice for him - by putting him on the major league roster the Mets are now on the hook for his $3.5 million salary!

At least Matz is pitching well today. Of course, so is Gonzalez, and apparently the Mets could have had him just by guaranteeing him a spot in rotation. Brodie refused, because, you know, Vargas is so good. SMH.

I suppose the glass half full view is that if Matz and Wheeler continue their good pitching, deGrom and Syndegaard are pretty good 3 and 4’s.

Good job by Matz. He could have let that dreadful start where he didn't even make it out of the 1st inning destroy his confidence but he didn't.

Why he was trying to get 6 outs out of familia is beyond me. When he gave up like 4 straight hits might have been a clue but Mickey decided before the game how he was gonna use familia so..

And the worst defensive team in baseball strikes again. Three errors this game. Is there anything Callaway has them doing competently?
