You may have a point. Its one thing to always draft BPA, but for the BPA always to be on defense is another matter.
Or Rex for Tannenbaum's picks lol...I swear it's like it's ingrained in the franchise DNA to always pick D all the time, although they do tend to have more blowups with their offensive picks.
Polite was a top 15 pick before a crumby combine.Hes a good pass rusher w a get off, burst & bend. Great value & fills a long time need. Hoping Cajuste makes it to next pick otherwise one of the WRs
Oh, come on now. We all know that this is a defensive-minded league. Who needs offense? I'm no fan of Gase, but at this point why not let him run the rest of this draft. Could he possibly do worse than Mac?
We have a potential Franchise QB but we do nothing to protect him. We get a A-grade RB in FA and do nothing to help him run. Yeah, we have F'n MORONS flying this jet.
Not for nothing, but for the past 3 years Mac has drafted the BPA in the first round. Leonard Williams was the BPA for sure. Sam Darnold was BPA. Quinnen Williams was BPA. Hard to argue with those picks. The later rounds, that's a different story lol

You guys should try and chill a bit. You can only do so much in a draft as is, especially when you consider we are currently in a draft with limitations. You guys forget, we picked up and took a chance on TB for nothing, turned it into an additional 3rd round pick for us this year. Things could look a lot worse right now considering the amount of draft capital it took to get, Darnold. Even then, it could've been a lot worse. The two picks so far haven't been bad, especially considering we got the guy that most experts have said to be the best defensive player in the entire draft, we also took a flyer on a guy that was being talked about for a long time as a potential 1st round edge guy for months and months, he slips to the 3rd because of a bad combine, we take a chance on him. I mean.. Come on people. I understand it to a degree, some of you are just silly though.
Mac's underwhelming eye for the draft continues as he has no real clue on how to effectively put a complete team together. Just another dopey pick to back that up. His roster mismanagement is blatant. Should've gone McGovern, Layne or Ferguson there. Polite sounds like he's got some maturity issues. Not the type of player the Jets needed to bring into this new positive culture. They need more good character guys like Williams.
Fair enough but still didn't read anybody on here screaming his name, hopefully he will be the bad ass edge we need.
