agreed. plus Lee will end up on a team that knows how to use speedy linebackers and look like a first rounder the logical choice may be to shop L. Williams
Second round looks stacked. I don’t see teams passing on some of the talent to take Lee and a 3rd rounder. I think the best we can hope for is the bottom of the second round.
Does anyone really have any faith in Macsuckan to do anything worthwhile with the remaining rounds? His track record outside of the top 6 picks in round 1 is atrocious.
After the trade down didn't happen yesterday I hardly dare get my hopes up. A second-rounder to use on a center would be really positive, I think. It looks like Lee is a goner, so we might as well see what we can get for him.
As much as I’d like to address offense, I’d be trying like crazy to get into position for Chase Winovich today.
if we could move lee and our 2nd 3rd rounder (saints pick) to get in the top 3 of the 2nd round and land taylor i'd be all for it. then use our 3rd on a C (mccoy, jenkins, or mcgovern) and assuming it's not mcgovern we lock in our C and LT for the next 5 years. sadly edge and CB aren't going to be addressed this eyar but we can worry about that next year. o-line is more important
You have to ask why they have dropped down so low, top 10 to the second round is surely a massive red flag? I am surprised at the beast WR DKM dropping and two WR's being selected ahead of him, of course all the years to have no second fucking rounders, arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!
For taylor At one point, Taylor was expected to be the first offensive lineman off the board. Then he got hurt (hamstring) and missed running drills at the combine. Guess that and his technique issues hurt him because he didn’t get picked in the first round, which was a major surprise. Now he’s the best remaining player in the draft. DKM i understand. he has the measurable but not the production or technique yet which scares teams. at WR teams are leaning more towards polished guys then athletes with potential for a 1st rounder so you don't win up with so many 1st round WR busts. also the need at WR is slim. only 2 were drafted and prospect wise the top 3-4 guys are pretty similar talent level wise with no standouts. also teams reaching like crazy always causes this.
Would LOVE to get Taylor, but unlikely. Offer the Cardinals Lee, both 3rds and QB Trevor Seiman--The Cards will need a backup QB to Murray after they trade Rosen (which they sure as hell will). I know, very unlikely, but the worst they can do is say no.
If they could package Lee and the Saints 3rd to move into the 2nd round that would be huge. Especially if they could get Taylor or McCoy. I'd be very pleased if we online on both picks tonight. I'd also be all in on trading for Clowney...
thats way too much to offer. lee and a 3rd should be more then enough. they get an instant above average starter cheap on their defense for sliding back 35 picks. i wouldn't mind throwing in webb or siemeian either.
time to wake up people we all know the only trade that will happen is trading our 4th round pick to move back a few spots to pick up a 5th
You may be right, although I read yesterday that the jets were expecting nothing better than a one 5th rounder for Lee at most. Lee's problem is the same as QB Rosen's--when other teams KNOW you want to move a player, they won't cough up too much.
Damn you beat me to it. I am happy to see this but they shouldnt throw the future away. If they actually went up and got a big need though I would consider doing it.
Why do we need to give up significant capital but other teams often give up dick. We really should have just traded down
