I don't think the previous season's record means that much. The 1996 Jets won one game all year. In 1997 they blew out the Seahawks 41-3 in week one. Rapid turnarounds can happen.
We have amped our Offense, but the Browns have too much firepower plus a better D than we have (at the moment) The Jets should be 1-1 after the Browns game..they are one of our hardest opponents and I'll take a win here but not expecting it Even after drafting an Edge Rusher , this game could be decided by touchdown or less
Wow, you really are excited. For the past couple of seasons I've felt that the talent level of the team was far better than the staff's ability to coach it up. We saw glimpses of it but it was always one -step forward, two steps back. We had some glaring weaknesses, yes, but a good staff should find a way to accommodate and hide those weaknesses - to adjust in game and between games, stop the bleeding, and right the ship. That's what I'm looking forward to - competent coaching. With a good staff in place (which I believe we have) I can easily see your prediction coming true. I'm really looking forward to this season.
