Lets see how the draft shakes out but as of RIGHT NOW I don't see us beating the Browns in fact I don't envision many teams beating the Browns this year as that team is stacked and IMO has few if any holes on either side of the ball-----and unlike Mac , Dorsey has shown he will add depth and plug holes in the draft = talk to me in 72 hours
I knew the response to my post would be Taylor played the 1st Half. The point was that was a pretty close game. I think the Jets have improved a lot since then in every way. The Browns have too. It is reasonable to think the Jets could win that game at home. A couple bounces go the Jets way and they win by double digits. I could see it.
Didn't you get the memo? Only other teams improve we never do. There is no reason we should lose to Buffalo, the Cleveland game is a tossup IMO. We should have beaten them last year but Todd Bowles couldn't coach a game if he had a gun to his head.
Freddie Kitchens and Steve Wilks are not exactly a scary combo.. I'd give the Jets a nice edge in coaching for 2019. Last year, if we ran anything close to an aggressive defense we win that game as well. Couldn't believe we sat back and went conservative against a rookie QB in his first game action. That loss was fully on Bowles and Rodgers.
Freddie kitchen could end up being Cleveland’s version of Dirk Koeter. Under qualified but got the job because they were afraid to lose him.
Gase comes with his own warts as well. And just like despite that there's no way he's worse than Bowles, there's no way Kitchens is worse than Jackson.
2-0, 1-1, 0-2 are all possible. We can't go 0-2 with 2 home games that's for sure. At minimum we need to be 1-1 and if we do win one, it should be Buff because its in the division. 2-0 would be sweet and would help us survive the tough part of our schedule. All I know is last year after we beat the Lions on the road, we had more anticipation for a home game that I can remember in many years ,and we shit the bed against the Dolphins and right there folks you could of turned off your sets. So i'll believe it when I see it. Lets win the first!!!
Yes and Browns new coach is a GIANT question mark. The Jets got an experienced NFL head coach who called the plays for Peyton Manning. (Among others of course) the Browns have a glorified running backs coach who’s never been a head coach and only called plays for half a season
Yes and the Jets new coach is a GIANT question mark. The Jets got a failed NFL head coach who had terrible offenses when he wasn't calling the plays for Peyton Manning. The Browns have a hot position coach and coordinator who's never failed as a head coach and did way better than the experienced Todd Haley when he called plays for half a season. I recognize your arguments are also valid and I'm not necessarily saying I'd take Kitchens over Gase. But your arguments are more one-sided than is justified given what we know about Kitchens and Gase.
I 100% believe they can win the game, but both teams have made big moves this offseason. I don’t know if we’ve done enough on the OL to put us in a great position to win. Hopefully we get a lineman or 2 via trade/draft.
TDK ---> thank god for hockey to take my mind off of Mac = I don't expect the guy to address the O Line before round # 5 IF at all because he NEVER has. If he shocks me I will do Cartwheels and hand stands and will believe it when I see it.
I wouldn't put one cent on the Jets beating the Browns. Cover, maybe cover, but that's it. It will also be the worst uniform battle of the season. Mind you, I like both helmets though, actually
Of course. The Browns are now a sweetheart. And I haven't said sheeple once. Old, silly cliche, just like tinfoil is.
The Browns are pretty stacked. Been a long time since anyone has said that. Their D Line looks big-time and their O is loaded with Beckham, Landry, Chubb, Njoku and Kareem Hunt after his suspension.
