Yeah that is a huge disadvantage, and I doubt they would do that to any big market team just due to $$$. It even makes me upset that Jets/Giants is Jets home game, but that has no dollar ramifications for the Jets. In fact actually probably benefits them financially.
Why would Manish release the schedule 8 hours early? Oh yeah, he is Manish and doesn't care about his sources. Just clicks. Okay, so the Browns is actually Week 2. Jets get to host the Pats Week 7 on Monday Night. Gase returns to Miami Week 9. Then a brutal ending with the Ravens on the road on a short week, Steelers, and finally Bills on the road. Hopefully the Jets are (8-5) or better headed into that stretch if they want a playoff spot.
We buying into Manish's list? Isn't it all but confirmed that we host Browns MNF to kick off the season?
Exactly what my wife and I do. We live in Florida so tonight we will be enjoying a couple cold beers and planning our next trip. Looking at either Boston, D.C. or Buffalo (Mrs JK wants to see Niagara Falls).
Oof. Browns, Pats, Eagles, Cowboys, Pats is a rough stretch early then Baltimore, Pitt and Buffalo (only because it's on the road) is a rough stretch late. Hard to see any more than 8 wins here but playing the W/L game in April is also dumb.
Seems dumb to move the Snoopy preseason game when we are playing the Giants late in the season (and leave the Eagles preseason game alone when we play them much sooner)
Yes, 8-5 with 3 to go Not a bad a scenario imo Both the Ravens and Steelers I feel are Borderline Teams (not a definite Loss or Win) since Pitt has been depleted of both Bell and A Brown while the Ravens have to hope Lamar Jackson becomes a better passer (teams will figure out how to contain his running by now). Plus they lost their team leader CJ Mosely to us. Buffalo is a team we should beat There's no cross country travel and we get Pitt at home so Bell can put on a show No reason we cant take 2 outa 3 here 10 may not be enough for a PO spot but wow what an improvement from 4 wins a year ago
Buffalo is always a wildcard. No matter how shitty they are, we seem to get beaten at least once. I'd put my money on week 17 on the road over week 1 at home. They could be 1-14 heading into that game, we could by 9-6 and I wouldn't feel good about it. I guess because they have no Super Bowls, meaningless moral victories are what the football gods give them instead.
I am really hating this leaked schedule The first 8 games are really hard. Losing games against good teams can beat down a good team and make them bad. Football is often about confidence and momentum. 2014 is a good example where we had a ridiculous schedule that destroyed our team. We need to be able survive those first 8 games. Beating the Bill's is crucial.
Sadly the Pats get the easiest schedule every year because they play the AFC east teams twice every year....
Funny, OBJ and Adams made it sound as if it would be Browns @ Jets week 1. I'm just gonna wait for the schedule to be released in a little more than 7 hours and take any leaks with a grain of salt.
