My head tells me Caps will win it eventually, but I can easily see this series going 7 games. Canes are a tough out. They played really well for long stretches in games 1 and 2. Canes played with only 10 forwards for the majority of the game as both Svechnikov and Ferland went to the locker room in first and never returned. I think both Isles/Caps or Isles/Canes will be very entertaining. For the record - I grew up an Isles fan, had season tickets and all, but when I moved to NC the Isles were the worst run team in professional sports so I adopted the Canes.
I know the Islanders have a 3-0 lead and are in control, but it would be nice to finish off the Penguins tonight while they are down. Never want to give them any momentum or spark of hope since they do have talent. I think/hope the Isles can get it done tonight.
336 no need to explain,,,,,,I can see myself moving down South in a few years and saying " I grew up a Jet fan had season tix for years but because of Woody and Chris / Ineptness I now root for yada yada and have season tix " LOL
I wasn’t trying to explain - I am a proud Canes fan. Once they are out, if the Isles are still in it - that is who I would root for. Except for Mets in 86 and Canes in 2006, I think I am a cursed fan though. — One could argue Jets, Mets, Isles, Canes have all at one time in recent history been the worst run team in their respective sports.
Knew the Pens would come out strong,,,,,answer it and the crowd will quiet down and we get back on track
The sweep should give the banged up guys the rest theyll need... That empty netter was sick. Stoked!!!
Brilliant leg save by Mayfield towards the end, and Nelson had an absolutely brilliant shift on the last power play. Eberle with his fourth straight game with a goal, and of course amazingness from Lehner. I know I said that everything after the first round was gravy, but now I want more!
Ha, I said the same thing to my brother when this started.... "I just want to win one series".... fuck that, keep rollin
