Paxton spits the bit. On the plus side, LeMahieu's bat, Lasagna and Tanaka's arms...just hope Cashman doesn't panic and reach for Dallas Keuchel. Back home vs. Chisox.
Politely disagree about Keuchel, Joe, you know CC will never make it thru the season, LeMahieu is a hit machine
Codswallop ya LGR s.o.b., no need to be polite about it. . : ) I just think Keuchel's no longer the strikeout/groundball pitcher he once was and that teams are not only making contact more against him but putting the ball in the air which in the Bronx (even as a lefty) is trouble. Another thing(s) to consider. Scott Boros is going to look for milk some desperate GM and with the Yanks already over the $225m luxury cap I don't see Cashman absorbing the additional hit plus they'd lose the 2nd round pick they got for Sonny Grey. Maybe because it's early in the season Keuchel's still out there unsigned but the fact remains he's still out there. Time will tell and hoping against hope Sevy's wing and lat are "non-surgically repaired" by the All-star break. As for CC, can only hope the 'purple pills' keep the clicker in his ticker in rhythm...
Boone is really looking bad. He says he needs innings from starters, true. But then why are you constantly removing starters before the 6th, who are pitching well, with a very small pitch count? I get CC is getting his first start, but really only 63 pitches? i can think of 3 games he's already done that.
He’s really not that good. Although Alex Cora walked on water all season last year and the Sox can’t buy a win this year
