Yes TDK and the Maple Leafs lost and they could miss out on the playoffs ( how crazy is that to imagine ) I hope The Islanders give them another loss on Monday. Congrats to your Caps taking care of business tonight against Tampa

I don’t want the Leafs to miss the playoffs; I want them to be good enough to keep Mike Babcock around.

Yeah, Toronto is getting in, but they definitely are not playing the way you want to headed into the playoffs. I could see the Bruins eliminate them in 5 or 6 at this rate.
Thanks. Big win for the Caps. I am actually surprised the Lightning started Vasilevskiy after how great he played against the Caps last week. Probably won't hurt too much, but allowing 6 goals against a team that eliminated you last year could hurt his confidence.

Another big game tonight as pajama boy and his still haven't clinched a playoff spot Leafs come back to Nassau. The Isles can't afford a letdown after clinching a playoff spot Saturday. Pitt is 2 points behind the Isles with both having 3 games left. Home ice is still on the line and I would hope the Isles get to open it at Nassau and not PPG Arena. Besides if the Isles-Pens goes 7 you want that game at the old barn. LGI. I would love it of the Isles could get a regulation win tonight and prevent TML from clinching. The Leafs magic number is 1.

Congrats on the clinching, Isles fans. My Leafs are in a funk right now, and they better
give their collective heads a shake, or the first round will be short-lived. (If they make it in)

They played well.... last 7-8 mins. Lee blew two great chances in the end to tie the game.

Tough loss,,,,,Lehner gave up 1 real shitty goal but played well enough to get a win. Team could not win a face off all night and they had chances to score as was mentioned LEE , not to mention LEO in the 1st not even hitting the net and the other countless times that guys would not shoot the puck--> ps that post hurt us. Tougher loss with the Caps losing but still games to play lets stay in front of PITT and the Real games begin a week from tomorrow.

With 2 games left, the most likely Round 1 match-up is Islanders-Penguins. I think the Islanders should actually feel good about that match-up. The Metropolitan Division title is still up for grabs though and it has a pretty simple scenario for New York: Caps lose to Montreal, Isles beat Florida, then the Isles beat the Caps. If that would happen, the Islanders would be Metropolitan Division Champions. I would obviously prefer the Caps to just win on Thursday, then both the Isles and Caps can rest their players on Saturday, but we will see.

Thank you Red Wings. With the Jackets losing last night the Isles cant fall to WC 2 and get Tampa(THANK GOD). The Isles still have work to do if they want to win the division(need the Canadiens to beat the Caps Thursday), get home ice and stay in #2 spot in the Metro, and avoid WC 1 and play the Caps. No games of interest tonight but Thursday we have Isles at Panthers, Canadiens at Caps, Red Wings at Pens(I doubt Pitt loses this one) and Devils at Canes. Carolina can still catch the Isles and they will most likely beat a hapless Devils team. Bottom line the Isles better get 2 points Thursday night. The magic number to avoid WC 1 is one point gained or lost by the Isles-Canes.

Maybe the Canes will be distracted by their boss blowing tens of millions of dollars in the AAF? ;)

This team is getting knocked out in 1st round of playoffs. You have said it many times and I wanted to give you credit, the PP has cost this team first place and it will cost them advancement in playoffs.
