haha, yep! He admitted it was off the wall, but that would be totally genius. Since we're all lifelong suffering Jets fans, we can pretty much rule out anything genius.
For me, the shade of green is ok, I'm happy they didn't butcher the numbers with alarm clock font, and the New York looks nice. That's setting the bar real low tho.....in other words I'm glad they didn't fuck those aspects up. But the striping on the shoulders and pants is laughable. That's the worst part. The logo is bleh, the black facemasks are out of place, and the black alternate could have been so much better. It looks worse than the Eagles terrible black alternates. It's a pretty major downgrade from what they currently have, and for no reason. If I buy a jersey, it will be a 'throwback'.
I just saw the pics on PFT. I can't get a good closeup view to come up with a final opinion on them. I can't really see what the logo on the helmet looks like. At first glance they don't look bad at all. The unis the Jets have worn since '98 are all-time classics IMO but a new look could be refreshing.
The biggest problem with this theory is the league divides all apparel sales between all the teams equally
Exactly the uniforms themselves aren’t that bad - I like the shade of green. The helmet decals though are dull and unispiring.
With the way things are going it wouldn't shock me if we had another 5 alarm fire leak of jerseys tomorrow too
There are arguments for and against this being them. Where are the Oregon numbers? Are they supposed to be big? Frankly I have no clue...maybe these are Oregon numbers (one of the 90000 jerseys that hideous uniformed team wears) But going by those pictures they are just...standard NFL uniform numbers. The upgrades to make this passable are so damn easy too. 80's logo on the helmet. Straight line striping.
The uniforms depicted in this picture are very realistic looking. The picture itself appears kind of fuzzy to me? As you mention the uniforms described by these sources who claim to have seen them simply don’t come close to matching the said descriptions....... Somebody or the Jets themselves are having some fun .
Unreliable sources? Maybe the Jets decided to make some last minute changes? Or maybe this is in fact a huge hoax and they look nothing like this and this was just a finalist set that was rejected But the lineup of the players modeling them. That is pretty much the standard glossy handout that they'd have at an event like this it seems. And these are the players who would be in them. Something does feel a bit off though.
The green helmets are horrendous. The green jersey is immediately the worst jersey in the league. The black on black is ok. The white jersey with green pants is the best look by a mile.
