The problem with this theory is Nike uniforms almost uniformly look like ass. You'd think lightning might strike a team's marketing department at least once.
This constant theme of " take flight ".........it makes me think the rumor of "jets elements" on the helmet is coming true.
Here's hoping for a black jersey with black logo, matched up with black helmet and black pants, need to get looking gangsta
Yep, I beleive it is because many comedians have demons and often lead more depressing lives then we realize, the source of their depression is very likely their New York Jets fandom. Sport fan anxiety and depression is actually something we laugh and take very lightly but you would be surprised how many people are genuinely suffering from team combinations like the jets/mets/Knicks. I don’t just mean they get angry but they experience real symptoms of diagnosable depression from it. You tell them to just stop being a fan but they genuinely can’t stop, it’s a legit sickness that just gets laughed at
I was waiting for someone to give me a quick diagnosis on depression in comedians and how it correlates to the team they support. Well done lol
I mentioned in another post that they'd be working with Jets marketing. No chance they did it on their own accord. You can bet those draft caps were already done 3-4 months ago. From draft to final press, all of those hat designs have been completed for sometime. We'll see in less than 2 days.
Where are the Jets caps? 4 pages of hats and not a single Jets cap. In a way, I'm glad, because those caps are seriously butt ugly.
In your experience would marketing teams even do things like “fan testing” in situations like these ?
I'm sure the Jets marketing team did some kind of research. I doubt they flat out showed any logos/design, but they probably had anonymously led groups get feedback (kind of like the stuff impractical jokers does with those focus groups).
Don't forget black hashmarks, black goalposts, and black stitching on footballs. Also, periodic stadium blackouts.
I could live with that. Gray alternate actually not bad at all, and more original than black. Incorporates a fighter jet into the jersey logos. Helmet green and back to 80's logo, has a white or gray facemask (can't tell which). All good. Just lose the green pants with the white jersey! lol I've certainly seen worse mock ups. At this point I'd celebrate if those were the only changes.
I'm pretty sure that Nike just works whatever logo they're given into the uniform design but the logo is created by someone else. But I'm not searching through 3000 posts to find that subtopic.
I thought that was a wing...or a contrail but I think we'll see it somewhere; it wouldn't have been the underline or in the 4/4 date. We'll see that font for at least five years.
