Definitely see what you're saying. But that's some 90's cartoon bird. Yea I guess it sort of works on the sleeves but what we released now I can't see working anywhere else in a reduced role in the uniform. It only seems to fit on the helmet They made a point to spell out NEW YORK. You'd figure it belongs on the helmet large and visible (I can see this logo being bigger on the helmet than the old one)
I just can't see these being the "bad ass" uniforms that Johnson said they were going to be. The logo we were using was at least a classic and referred back to a period of time when the organization was actually successful. This is just a poor man's version of that logo.
I mean its not bold or all that different..but its also not worth getting upset about. Its just “meh” The old timers should like it
I am genuinely laughing my ass off imagining the Jets’ front office looking at this logo and saying “now this is the drastic modern edge we’ve been needing” LMAO And picturing that this is what Jamal Adams reacted to with “OH SHIIITT!” in that teaser video released months ago is even funnier.
Those braids on the upper hat brim are like that of a pilot’s hat: This would be in alignment with the Jets’ motif as an homage to the golden age of flying and not military
This looks like a cheap bootleg done by a third world sweatshop. A rat hat...and not a very good one.
Well we still haven't seen the rest of the uniform. Maybe it will be a bold change and then people will realize bold changes usually mean trash
I wouldn’t use the word embarrassing but pathetic works. We are the jets, you have so many things you can do with that and instead you choose to stick with the oval and wordmark that we have gotten tired of. If this is the main logo and not some secondary logo then I think that it’s pretty pathetic
Maybe they field tested the idea and Jets fans stuck with the classic? People for the most part were not clamoring for a new logo/uniform the past few years. They wanted 80s throwbacks
I'm not convinced either. Or maybe it's just that I don't want to believe that that's it. I don't know. If that is it, though, then that's pretty sad. Whatever Nike and Jets executives sat down together and decided that this was a bold and exciting change for the franchise should be relieved of their duties immediately.
