yeah peake is a good special teams player, but clearly has "peaked" at his ability to play WR and he isn't that. he'll just be a career special teams guy which is fine i mean he was a 7th round pick, but is something we could upgrade for sure. Bellamy is another one of those guys as well. good special teamer but never made it as a WR. it's not looking good after our top 3 and none of our top 3 have been able to stay healthy really for a full season
it's not a great answer by any means but there does become a point where "beggars can't be choosers" i also said lots of good points made in this thread so maybe he isn't the right one but there are a few others out there we could sign for a year instead. it was just a thought, but clearly not the best one
I'd rather draft a rookie WR or two and let him get the playing time, or give it to Burnett. If the Jets prefer a veteran, I'd want Jordy Nelson or any other veteran WR other than Dez.
yeah i already conceding this is not a good move for the jets however i would like to see them pick up seth roberts
It's a hard NO on Dez. Even when he wasn't old and injured he was tough for QBs to rely on, with his tendency to drop balls and bitch in the huddle. Now he's all busted up. He wont even be ready until like December anyway. If you sign him, you are just doing him a favor by letting him use your rehab facilities. Why would we wanna do that?
Been going back with this a bit BUT me thinks a possible stud WR should be high on the list later this month. Really depends on the trade scenarios. if we ONLY have the first and third, then probably no WR. But if we can secure a second and another 3rd rounder than we should take a WR. that being said - no to bryant.
Of course we wouldn’t need any WRs if mac had hit on the 2 he used 3rd and 4th round picks on 2 years ago
