So, who is doing what? @GQMartin If I go to Metlife I will call you so we meet up there. For folks who plan to watch on TV. What are the plans. Anybody taking Friday off that week?
My plans was to have two boxes of alcohol One box is the Quinnen Williams/Rashan Gary/any DT Box that will be filled to the brim with cheap disgusting vodka and white rum to drown myself in The other box doesn’t exist because we are taking Quinnen Williams
The great part of picking so early is I can pass out after the 3rd pick. Unless the Jets trade down, then I'll need to pace myself.
Having just retired, I will be getting up at 1am UK time to watch the whole first round, with a nice bottle of malt whisky! I'm obviously interested in the Jets pick - or trade? - and I also very interested to see what the Raiders do with all those picks.
I'll be golfing in Myrtle Beach that week. Draft night will be in a South Carolina pub with 3 golfing friends, one them is also a Jet fan.
@WW85 Draft is upon us. Who do you think is better for Jets assuming all 3 are on the board? Bos-Allen-Williams?
I would take Bosa, he has the highest ceiling. I think Allen will be the pick though, if we don't trade out.
I usually telework on Friday, so I typically watch until the end of the first round. Last year they put in so many commercials though, it really disrupted the flow of the draft. Picks were in and they just didn't announce them to get more TV time. If that happens again, I'll probably turn it off before end of first.
Go see my old man giant fan insurance buddies for 3/4 of the 1st round.Listen to the rest on WFAN on drive home. Then get Inebriated while enjoying TGG & assorted jets coverage in the twilight. Its tradition & it doesnt get any better
Watching at home and then racing my rabid Jets fan friend, Vinnie, to see who gets the other one first. It's tradition. Then the calls and texts start rolling in and out with my Giants fan (ugh) cousin and about ten other people. Next to landing Shoe Booty, the 2006 draft was a really memorable one. I was holding my breath for so long right before the Jets were up my face almost turned blue. "Please don't take Matt Leinart. Please God, don't take let the Jets take Matt Leinart. I'll be your best fckn friend please don't take Matt Leinart." "And with the fourth selection of the 2006 NFL draft the New York Jets select D'Brickashaw Ferguson, offensive tackle University of Virginia." "HAH, WHEEEE!!!" I was so happy I almost flipped the coffee table. I even remember what I was wearing: red t-shirt, sock monkey pajama bottoms, sock monkey socks and sock monkey slippers. I was too busy running around the living room in circles, fist-pumping, and shrieking that Vinnie got me first. Ferguson and Mangold, not too shabby. And the best part was watching Matt Leinart looking like someone just ran over his puppy every time he was passed over. There was a TON of us online here, too. That was a really good time.
I got tickets to the draft party, but have no idea if it is going to be worth it. If not, just a quiet night at home. Seeing Avengers: Endgame at 9AM the next morning.
Shame on me? . . No, shame on you. . : ) Galatasaray are a bunch of Erdogen-loving, Kurdish-persecuting pyro-psychos who play (and bugger each other) in Istanbul. THESE are the "good guys" :
