If we let him play the last game of a season to rest Sam and other regulars after we clinched a playoff spot I could maybe OK that as well
Solid backup, should the unthinkable happen we'd have a guy back there who will be at least competent
If only Cody Kessler had completed one or two more passes last year there would have been a fun trivia fact: the only three QBs with at least 110 pass attempts who would have had a lower passer rating than Darnold in 2018 would have all been named Josh (Allen, Rosen, and McCown).
Great signing. Funny part of this signing, this would have been someone we would have been mulling over in the past as a potential starter.
Great signing! Good, capable, but not really a FT starter unless he's on a stacked team, which the Jets are not. So good insurance if god forbid Sam gets hurt. Siemian can hold the fort, and it doesn't mean and automatic loss as if McCown were the backup.
Great signing by the Jets. Siemian is an upgrade over McCown and can come in and start a game if he needs to. Shout out to @101GangGreen101 for calling Siemian in the Back-Up QB thread. I remember him bringing him up and thinking it was a good idea. Mac agreed.
Gotta admit I know his name but didn't pay a lot of attention to Denver while he was their starter. I checked out his highlights from that year and saw what can only be described as "How many ways can you underthrow a wounded duck floater and still score a 70 yard touchdown?" He's competent enough to be a backup. It was worth it to see the below from Cimini though. "Siemian is a strong-armed passer who has won some games. "
Not mine on this one. Armchair primatologist here (I love monkeys and apes). Siemian is close enough to Simian to make me rub my sock-monkey stockinged feet together with joy. There's a new Chimp in town for a good price. Works for me.
Your avatar, HAHAHAHAHA. I didn't even read the post yet because I can't stop laughing. The best of both worlds right there. Holy Crap, HAH. Wait 'til @The Waterboy sees it (if he hasn't already).
