This is of course pure speculation, but it's grounded in a realistic context. As much as I do love our defensive options at 3, if we can get a haul (from Snyder no less), I think it is the primary goal and move. What say you? https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/...in-jets-in-an-attempt-to-land-dwayne-haskins/
That would have to be one HUGE package. Last year we paid swapped ones and gave the Colts three second rounders. This is a deal with a future 1 and a bunch of 2s easily if it actually happened.
A trade down is exactly what we need to replenish our roster. Unfortunately though I don't trust Mac to pick anyone who doesn't fall into his lap.
Would have to be 2 firsts and 2 seconds at a minimum... And/or work in Scherff who is a really good G currently playing on his 5th year option.
Quantity isn't necessarily better than quality, especially in the draft. I'm still hard pressed to pass on Josh Allen.....I'd want a known commodity like Scherff included.
I wouldn’t agree anything pre-draft unless the trade is a blockbuster. If Bosa is there, I’m picking at #3.
Eh if we can load back on draft capital we can set ourselves up like the 2000 Jets did. I would do it.
I mean what is the actual difference between "pure speculation" and "an idea". It is literally the same thing. Which is why I put "Speculation" in the title.
Let me first curse at you in Turkish. Then I will explain in Turkish. Joking. I edited my message right after I realized they are the same thing. Being an immigrant my English isn't as good.
It is in our case because relative to other teams we need quantity more than quality. Also the Redskins need a QB, and since QBs have the highest positional value, they may give us more than the 3rd pick is worth to us. Like how we gave the Colts three second rounders to move back three spots, where they got an elite player anyway.
I will band you before I do anything to TurkJetFan. He is one of the coolest members who is here only to talk football.
Redskins have a relatively late first round draft pick and we don’t utilize mid round picks very well. Be careful what you wish for. I don’t want to be drafting in the Darron Lee zone with our scouting.
The Jets would get a lot for the pick and it might be a good idea to do it but the more I think about it, I don't think the Redskins will be a realistic option. They need a QB, yes, but they tried a similar move up for RGIII and they had to give up the farm and it damaged their organization for years. I doubt they want to try that all over again. They would have to really be in love with Haskins to do it plus, you have to think they don't HAVE to trade with the Jets. I mean they probably want to get ahead of the Giants but they know the Jets aren't taking a QB at 3, so they can also talk to Oakland at 4 and Tampa at 5 at the very least. If they don't think the Giants are going to draft Haskins, that opens up a lot more possibilities. --- I think IF you are someone who wants to trade down, you would like to see the Cardinals pass on Murray. Then the Jets are sitting at number 3 with Murray and Haskins still on the board. Very enticing for teams to trade up then. Obviously, IF you are a fan of keeping the pick and selecting an elite defensive talent, you want Murray to go number 1 and leave more talent on the board
If "cool" is factored in...I should have life-time immunity from being band. Or at least a "get out of jail free" card.
